Wilder was injured very early in the fight also. His corner almost stopped the fight even earlier. What ever punch hurt him, we can assume the ear shot, he just could not recover.

He lucky Tyson took it easy on him because he was open to being seriously hurt

Deontay lacked the basic fight nuances... a superior fighter with longer reach is gonna try to kill you with the jab....and use that to set up other shots to keep you at distance.

so your job is to get under / around the jab and get inside. Fury is a really big dude who gained a lot of weight ... hit that body. Make him guard his body so you can get some real shots at his head.

Also, don't let that mfkr lean on you, o ce you guys are close... uppercut, tag the body and before he gets out of reach...combo his ass.... there were no basic combos... if Tyson wants to clinch he's gotta pay for it If you want him to stop... I could go on and on... but basically Tyson exploited the fact that Wilder is not a seasoned and true fighter....he is still amateurish in style and fight IQ

But as was said before, despite his weaknesses, he has that right hand.....that devastated lesser quality opponents.... Tyson showed he is a higher caliber fighter.

We've have several threads when we talked about this and even how some of us said people should never put him and iron Mike in the same sentence... He is the one bigger quitter guy like shaq was to posting and dunking... You asking a person to be completely opposite/different from their normal self.. Most people tend to not change their ways and with that staff allowing him to go out their for countless fights is disgusting on their behalf.. They really thought he would go his entire career without fighting somebody with fundamental and confidence

Wilder is dizzy and he cant find his power when his brain is spinning; he can barely keep his balance. Hell Wilder won the 2nd round easily. But he needs proper training. And his current team has hit their ceiling. He needs a new voice. He isnt a dummy so he can be taught. Losing may be the greatest thing to ever happen to him.
