A familiar face from the Old West will be in “Crisis on Infinite Earths.”
EW has learned that Johnathon Schaech (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Now Apocalypse) is returning as Jonah Hex for the Arrowverse’s forthcoming crossover. At this point, there aren’t any details on how his DC Comics gunslinger will fit into the epic five-hour event, which includes Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman.
Schaech debuted as the disfigured Civil War veteran-turned-bounty hunter in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow‘s first season when the titular band of time travelers visited Salvation, Dakota, in 1871. The Legends crossed paths with the gruff hero again (read: saved him from execution) in season 2’s 1874-set outing “Outlaw Country,” and Jonah, in turn, assisted the team in the Beebo-tastic season 3 finale. Jonah’s appearance in the crossover isn’t entirely surprising because in the comic upon which the crossover is based, heroes and villains from across time start appearing on Earth-1 as what remains of the multiverse starts collapsing.

-During Arrow's San Diego Comic-Con 2019 panel, Brandon Routh revealed he was wearing a shirt with the Kingdom Come Superman emblem, further hinting that he will in fact be playing this tragic version of Superman from an alternate universe in the Arrowverse Crisis on Infinite Earths Crossover.

This would mean that Routh is not playing his same Superman character from Superman Returns and will be a different version all together. Given that the Arrowverse crossover is titled Crisis on Infinite Earths, it makes sense that Routh would play a Superman from another universe's Earth. Kingdom Come is an acclaimed comic from writer Mark Waid and artist Alex Ross set in an alternate universe where a tragedy causes Superman to go into hiding and eventually returning to inspire a new generation of superheroes. This version of Superman is known for his graying hair and black-and-red chest emblem.

Krypton Star Almost Appeared in The CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths
One face fans should not expect to make an appearance in the Arrowverse's hotly-anticipated "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover is that of Krypton star Cameron Cuffe. The British-born actor played Superman's grandfather, Seg-El on SYFY's DC prequel series. Despite the heavy dose of skepticism surrounding the premise, the show earned positive reviews and impressive ratings when it debuted in 2018. Sadly, the numbers dropped significantly across its sophomore outing. As a result, the cable network axed both Krypton and its planned Lobo spinoff directly after the former's season 2 finale.
The Arrowverse, however, has continued to thrive on The CW. Kicking off with Arrow in 2012, the shared DC universe quickly expanded to include The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. They were later joined by Supergirl, which began life on CBS before switching networks ahead of its own second season. Over the last few years, the annual crossover has become a staple of the collective shows. The latest will be their most ambitious yet and will adapt the seminal 1985 storyline. The five-hour event will see a host familiar faces - including Smallville's Tom Welling as Superman and his former co-star Erica Durance as Lois Lane. That particular corner of the world will also be represented by Brandon Routh suiting up as Kingdom Come Superman and Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch reprising their roles as Supergirl's own Man of Steel and Lois Lane, respectively.
Posting on Twitter, however, Marc Guggenheim revealed that they came close to an even bigger House of El reunion. As the creator of Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow, Guggenheim has served as a writer and producer on both shows. He also contributed to each crossover. Guggenheim co-wrote the Crisis of Infinite Earths adaptation with the original comic writer, Marv Wolfman. Responding to a request that he get Cuffe for the episodes, Guggenheim replied (along with a sad face image) that they actually tried but that they "couldn't make the dates work". What a world.

WB called my agents Friday afternoon when I was in Florida visiting my grandfather in a nursing home. Their offer: No Script. No idea what I’m doing. No idea when I’m shooting. Basically no money. For those who didn’t watch Smallville, The CW’s longest-running superhero series (so far), Rosenbaum was part of the 2001 Superman prequel’s original cast, debuting a new version of the iconic bald villain before he broke bad. In fact, Smallville introduced an all-new origin story for the fated nemesis in which he was actually friends with Clark when the latter was still in high school. They met when Lex accidentally hit Clark with his car, but Clark’s secrets eventually drove Lex to the dark side. After leaving Smallville (and returning for the series finale), Rosenbaum starred on Breaking In and Impastor.
While Rosenbaum’s Lex won’t appear in the crossover, another version of the supervillain will. Jon Cryer will reprise his Supergirl version of Lex in “Crisis on Infinite Earths.” Other versions of Superman appearing in the crossover are Tyler Hoechlin and Legends of Tomorrow’s Brandon Routh, and Elizabeth Tulloch will reprise her Arrowverse version of Lois as well. Also appearing in the mega “Crisis” crossover are Black Lightning’s Cress Williams, Batman: The Animated Series’ Kevin Conroy as a Bruce Wayne from the future, LaMonica Garrett as both the Monitor and Anti-Monitor, Batman’s Burt Ward, and John Wesley Shipp returning to the Arrowverse once more.

Another face from DC TV’s past is joining Arrowverse’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover.
EW has confirmed that Birds of Prey star Ashley Scott will reprise her role as Huntress in the five-hour crossover event, which includes Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman. TVLine first reported the news.
For the uninitiated, Birds of Prey was a one-season WB superhero show that aired from 2002 to 2003. It followed Scott’s Huntress, a.k.a. Helena Kyle, as she, Oracle (Dina Meyer), and Black Canary/Dinah Redmond (Batwoman’s Rachel Skarsten) fought a war on crime in a Gotham City that had been abandoned by the Batman. (Sound familiar?) There’s no word yet whether Scott will reunite with Skarsten, who plays Batwoman big bad Alice, in the event.
This won’t be the first time the DC Comics character Huntress has appeared in the Arrowverse. Jessica De Gouw played the ruthless vigilante in Arrow’s first two seasons.
Scott joins a long list of DC TV and movie alums appearing the highly anticipated crossover. Another face from DC TV’s past is joining Arrowverse’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover.
EW has confirmed that Birds of Prey star Ashley Scott will reprise her role as Huntress in the five-hour crossover event, which includes Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman. TVLine first reported the news.
For the uninitiated, Birds of Prey was a one-season WB superhero show that aired from 2002 to 2003. It followed Scott’s Huntress, a.k.a. Helena Kyle, as she, Oracle (Dina Meyer), and Black Canary/Dinah Redmond (Batwoman’s Rachel Skarsten) fought a war on crime in a Gotham City that had been abandoned by the Batman. (Sound familiar?) There’s no word yet whether Scott will reunite with Skarsten, who plays Batwoman big bad Alice, in the event.
This won’t be the first time the DC Comics character Huntress has appeared in the Arrowverse. Jessica De Gouw played the ruthless vigilante in Arrow’s first two seasons.
Scott joins a long list of DC TV and movie alums appearing the highly anticipated crossover. Smallville’s Tom Welling and Erica Durance are set to reprise their Clark Kent and Lois Lane roles, Legends of Tomorrow’s Brandon Routh will suit up as the Kingdom Come version of Superman, Batman: The Animated Series’ Kevin Conroy will appear as Bruce Wayne from the future, and Batman’s Burt Ward will put in an appearance too.
“Crisis on Infinite Earths” kicks off with Supergirl on Sunday, Dec. 8, followed by Batwoman on Monday, Dec. 9, and The Flash on Tuesday, Dec. 10. After the winter hiatus, the crossover will resume Tuesday, Jan. 14, with Arrow at 8 p.m. and conclude with Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m.

The actor has landed the recurring role of Ryan Choi in the upcoming “Crisis on Infinite Earths” five-part crossover, EW has confirmed. Described as a physics professor at Ivy Town University, Ryan is just a normal guy who comes to learn that he has a pivotal role to play in the coming crisis.

But what comic book fans know is that Ryan’s fate is so much bigger — gah, again, smaller! — than that. He’s actually another version of the Atom, who takes up the mantle after Ray Palmer (played by Brandon Routh in the Arrowverse) disappears. Does that mean Routh’s upcoming exit from Legends of Tomorrow (along with his real-life wife Courtney Ford), has something to do with Ryan’s debut in the Arrowverse? It’s also interesting to note that so far, Routh has only been confirmed to appear in the “Crisis” crossover as the Kingdom Come version of Superman and not the Atom.
Canadian actor Chau is best known for his recurring role on six seasons of the long-running CW series Supernatural as Kevin Tran, a brilliant, overachieving high school student whose life suddenly changes when he becomes a Prophet of God. Sure sounds a lot like his new role as a young man fated to become a superhero! Chau has also appeared in Roland Emmerich’s 2012 and is currently a series regular on BBC America’s Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency.

The Arrowverse just began production on its epic crossover event “Crisis on Infinite Earths” this week, and we already have our first look at the reunion of Smallville‘s Tom Welling and Erica Durance.
On Thursday, Durance shared an image of her and Welling on the set of the five-hour crossover. Both stars were wearing flannel and seemed all smiles as they posed with what looks to be the wall of a farmhouse as their backdrop.
“So, I was just minding my own business, and I ran into this guy,” Durance captioned her photo. “Laughed until I cried! So much fun.”
Welling and Durance will reprise their Smallville roles — Lois Lane and Clark Kent, respectively — in the upcoming five-hour event, which will reveal what the couple has been up to since that long-running Superman prequel series ended in 2011.
Of course, these two aren’t the crossover’s only Clark and Lois. Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch are also returning as the Arrowverse’s Superman and Lois, with their newborn child in tow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow‘s Brandon Routh will also appear as a version of the Man of Steel who wears a costume based on Alex Ross’ Kingdom Come design. In other words, the Smallville farmhouse will likely be very crowded this winter.
“Crisis on Infinite Earths” will span Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman.
