dragon ball super hour special: goku vs jiren (limit breaker goku)

Even going back as far as DBZ, it bothered me how hard Vegeta worked compared to everyone else, but seems to always get the short end of the stick in terms of progress.

I get that Goku is the golden-boy, but it is really annoying how they treat Vegeta.

Vegeta has the royal blood, and works harder than ANYBODY and that ain't enough? Stop.
Vegeta's weakness is that he wants to do everything solo. If he humbled himself and went to Master Roshi for some training he would be right up there with goku

He trained/is training with Whis. instead of letting him shine until after the first tournament, they let Goku ride along for the training. They should have let Vegeta train with Whis alone and win that tournament.

The issue with Super is they focus on Goku without giving other characters a chance to shine much. For example and I could be wrong ( dont follow that much) but in One Piece Luffy may take on and win against the top guy, however, that doesn't mean everyone else doesn't fight and win against strong fighters.

DBZ was supposed to be Gohan's story but they took that from him and continue to undermine his character as well as Vegeta in Super.

ive always wanted to see Vegeta train Gohan.i think that happening would take Gohan to the next level mentally and it would be a interesting story for both.

The art work for this episode was great. Really added to Vegeta's moment. That dialogue between Jiren and Vegeta was short and impactful. Jiren told him that "His fist were arrogant". I was like, Vegeta's arrogant fist are the yin to Goku's thirst for combat's yang.

I did read they were bringing in an old artist to do this episode and it shows.

They've been peppering episodes with that late DBZ art style here and there. Really adds to what's good about this incarnation and shows that the creators are fans of the series. The manga is doing some great stuff to, but I try not to get too involved in both telling of the arcs until they are done.

Vegeta put on a show. But.... :smh:

I'm done with DBZ after this.

It's just more of the same shit every time.

Unless Vegeta gets a some more character development I'm done.

We all agree Vegeta needs a big win with no Goku involved. But until Toriyama gets over his Vegeta issues it won't happen.

Like I said before, I want a standalone Vegeta movie.

I wont wait for him.

Fuck Toriyama.

After super is done im finished with Dragonball its been fun. Had a nice run. Ill always be a fan but I cant continue to watch the same shit this long. The series isnt growing neither are the characters.

Agreed. Its the same script, like watching Fonzie on Happy Days or a John Cena match (If you're into wrestling) You know Goku is going to win in the end no matter how they stack the deck.

They had a chance to do something special when Vegeta went to train with Whis without Goku. They could have had a spinoff where Whis sent him on missions to further develop his powers. But Nooooooooo...they sent Goku's bitch ass up there and he immediately passed Vegeta, even though he had like a six month head start.

supposedly next episode, Vegeta find a new level of blue. But yall right, Goku will always save the day.

I was telling someone the other day this tournament has been nothing but filler cause it sure ain't no story going on.

They just figured out a way to sell merchandise without the effort

Agreed. I also want to see Picollo get up to par with the other heavy hitters as well. As far as the human characters they need a power up as well. Krillen, Tien, and Yamcha are getting left in the dust. Uub is the strongest human but we don't know if he will be cannon or not.

I wonder how much Toppo was holding back since he has God of Destruction potential. And if Jiren is that much more stronger than Toppo then what will Beerus think of them defeating Toppo and now realizing he could be next

I was hoping for Vegeta/Toppo part 2 but to be honest that could be a separate show unto itself and they don't have time.

Bump...

What y'all think?? We knew it was gonna happen, but the way he went out on his terms, leaving it all on the battlefield

:bravo:

And the preview for next week... Did y'all see what I saw? Goku eyebrows and hair were glowing grey. That fucker mastered Ultra Instinct

:itsawrap:

Nothing but props for how Vegeta went out. Even got Beerus' respect as well for it. Also for him to give the last of his energy to Goku is yet another big step in Vegeta's development as a character.

Thats literally the name of next weeks episode "Ultra Instinct Mastered!"

I hate the way they drag out shit. Gotta a whole week for the real fight

They been doing this shit since the 90's...

Don't even bother me anymore

Dragon STALL Super...and the shit is annoying as fuck, they spent the whole episode panning showing reactions and sideline commentary more than actual fighting in this FIGHTING tournament for your LIFE!! Dunno why they do that shit...if they gonna stall then make the show an hour long and then you can combine 2 of these episodes and it would be ok.

I would have preferred they let Vegeta take this one. Its was all there for them with the Saiyan's from six falling. All they needed was to let Goku fail this once. It would would have been a great moment for Vegeta to finally live up to the Prince of Saiyan's talk. It would have mirrored Goku v Frieza fight when Krillin died.

I think he mastered when took the rest of Vegeta's energy...because it seems that Vegeta was good on offense but not as good on the defensive aspect of it..
