Durant signs with Warriors

Damn.

Lebron James has infected this generation for the worst. I'm sorry. If Lebron didn't normalize this bullshit, Durant probably doesn't even consider it.
True but this is worse than the lebron move. Lebron had personal situations in Cleveland that led to his decision to go and play with a long time true friend. Kd ain't got no Personal ties with warriors and he had no issues with his organization. This will be interesting. Cavs made no major moves yet

man stop comparing this shit to the decision

its not even close

bron didnt join a team that won 73 games
bron didnt join a team with a 2 time mvp
bron didnt join a team who already had crazy chemistry
bron didnt join a team that went to back to back finals
bron didnt join a team with the coach of the year
bron didnt join a team with 3 other all stars starting
bron didnt join a team with a bench thats already the best in the league

its not fucking close...this is most bitchmade move in nba history

I've never seen anything like this from a superstar in their prime. :smh:

Dumb move...he should have signed a one deal with OKC and then did the free agent market all over again with the increased money next year.

And for those blaming Lebron I guess if it wasn't a media spectacle it never happened like when Garnett went to Boston to play with Pierce and Allen.

When GS doesn't win the title heads will explode and they won't....

We also can see Durant ain't as great as some thought he was...He isn't a team maker he can take his place as a role player..

There is no increased money next year....the increased money is NOW, THIS YEAR.
What sense would it have made to sign a one-year deal to come back and then leave?
He actually took less money to go to GSW and signed a two-year deal because that's all GSW could afford to pay.

Because this opportunity has never happened before. All this occurred because of the luxury cap and the CBA. The players have more power than ever before and people are losing their minds because they have the audacity to flex that power.

ingram hasnt played one game and randle hasnt been shit yet

but keep hope alive bro

Naw, I am good. I am not even a Lakers fan. Just saying potential in Ingram and Randle maybe able to turn it around, even though he avg. a double double last year. Clarkson is one of the most slept on guards and russell is still young. Not saying the Lakers will be any good in the next 1-2 years, but I see potential....

This ain't flexing power. This is bitchassedness to the extreme. This the team that just beat him and he is acting like a aging superstar chasing a ring. Flexing power is like when Lebron said:

 'Hey Bosh, you don't want to come to Cleveland? Fine!! Miami ain't shit right now. Lets go down their and make them the shit!"

It's not :( "I want a chip so...If I can't beat them, join them!!"

1.This just helps make MJ and the stars that played before him and in his era seem just that much more better.

2.I understand, damn what people will say or think, they will think it no matter what.Either you have the rings or you don't and if I was a player I don't wanna leave this game without chasing that dream of ten because of the people or my own ego.

3.This is the league now and I can't do nothing but respect it and hope the knicks win because it's time.

Man KD sold out...Stockholm Syndrome
Let's see if he gets the hate Lebron got

He shouldn't. That is unless you feel it's okay for a young, Black man (millionaire) to NOT want to play in a bigger market and nicer place. He gave them nine years. Just when they were close to being the favorites for the West the team trades Ibaka? And they did that shit EARLY. Why would they trade him so early KNOWING they had to resign Durant?

Fuck this nigga and his ho ass letter.

KD, you're dead to me.

I tried to tell you as discreetly as possible that he was never ever ever ever coming to DC. He told my bro straight up he hates coming home since he gets hit up for hundreds of favors from niggas who don't come out to OKC to see him.

He loved OKC but maybe Russell told him he's leaving so he dipped too.

And what exactly did the Warriors win this past year?
First loser award.

Flexing means getting paid while choosing where you want to play. KD had to waive his no-trade to go to Boston. And he waived it when he knew Ray Allen was going over there. He wanted a ring while still collecting his check.

I think the whole emo argument about players coming and going and linking up to win a chip is a by-product of the white media and the slave mentality they push on black athletes. Y'all need to chill and reprogram yourselves.

How do you figure? So you don't think getting rid of a key piece of the team (Ibaka) just when you're on the cusp of winning after NINE years played no part in it?

Wheres the competitive spirit from these dudes? Niccas is chasing championships with the easy road. Look, even IF they win next year...people will ALWAYS say "well shit, look at that team, they SHOULD have won". I miss the days where we had good teams all around the league and whoever will win the championship was up for grabs, even in the Jordan era. Back then you had the Bulls, Celtics, Pistons, Knicks, Lakers, Jazz, Sonics, Heat, etc ALL having a chance to win. Now a days its only the Cavs in the East and either the Warriors, (use to be) OKC, Spurs (not anymore) and MAYBE a (healthy) Clippers team. This ish is just laughable. No more players with heart and competitive spirit. Kobe was the last of that breed, these new niccas are feminine.

Those days you miss aren't because of the players but because of disloyal owners and GMs. Gone are the days where the players that MADE the teams what they are are the first priority for the owners. The bottom line is what matters so I don't blame the players for looking out for themselves. Where is the loyalty to the players? Competitive spirit?!?! Imagine how the players feel, you bust your ass, make sacrifices for the team both physically and financially and then end up being shit on while the owners are :money:

Look at D Wade for instance, gave up bread, was a Heat 'Lifer', gave EVERYTHING for that team, only, in a year when the salary cap is the highest its EVER been, to have Riley offer him a fucking 50% pay cut?!?!?! FOH!!

How the hell are these owners being able to negotiate these big ass TV deals, etc to allow for these types of salaries?!?! From the play of players like Wade, KD, etc. only to be treated like shit when it's time for the ownership to reciprocate... TD, waiting to see the big ass deal the Spurs give him for all the money he sacrificed while making them a dynasty... Dirk... same thing.

Fuck all that competitive spirit shit, this is about dollars and sense.... and KD made the smartest damn decision he could have ever made... Chips bring money, revenue, endorsements, etc. and his career was dying in OKC... He was well on his way to being another Dominique Wilkins, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, etc... I'm glad he did whats best for him...

so why didnt the nba veto this deal?

they vetoed cp3 to the lakers due to a competitive advantage

but this team just won 73 fucking games

the league is a joke

Stop It, it's not even the same.

The league vetoed the CP3 deal because the league was the "owner" of the Hornets pending the sale to the new ownership.

The NBA felt they could get a better deal from the Clippers than that shit sandwich the Lakers offered and they did.

I don't get why people still talk about that trade. The Lakers deal was terrible.

Man i didnt think he was coming back. The team stinks... My reaction is solely in response to when and where he went.. not where he didnt go.

To your first point – no matter what, people will always place asterisks on championships. MJ's asterisks according to the haters is that the league was watered down due to expansion. When Hakeem won, because MJ wasn't in the league. It goes on and on… Haters gonna hate type shit.

I knew it.

He finally got tired of Westbrook's selfish 'hero ball' mentality.

Bullshit! It was Durant's "hero ball hog" antics that made them lose to Golden State in the first place. They were kicking Golden States ass then all of the sudden KD can't make a shot and he's ball hogging the whole game. It's obvious now that Durant threw that game so he would get signed to Golden State. What a bum!

Is this even a real fucking question? Do you think cats want to be in places like Milwaukee? Pro ball players aren't picking where to play based on quality of life or cost of living, they're picking based on the likelihood of a playoff run or a ring. This is a team that made it to the finals this year and won it the previous year. If ring chasing is cool in your book so be it, but don't sit here and blow smoke up my ass about him wanting to leave OKC because of the city when you know damn well he wouldn't be leaving had they beat GS and made it to the finals this year.

I'd take CA over OK all day. (lol) That's cool. They TRADED Ibaka. Why would he, or anyone else for that matter, think he's CLOSER to a ring there now that he's gone? If a RING is what you want, wouldn't you view this decision by management as a huge step back?
