Just because somebody else gives a figure too much credit, it doesn't mean it's logical or right to adopt the opposite position as a response.
If you think LeBron is better than Jordan and I don't, that doesn't mean I need to pretend that he's not top ten.
This isn't just "cause Eminem said it." The buzz is also because of what was said and how it was said. If it was just profane and anti-Trump but without this delivery and wordplay, it would not generate nearly the response and certainly not the same level of positive reaction.
I haven't heard anything on that level regarding Trump from any other rapper, black or white. I've heard hundreds of jokes about Trump being orange and I think that tops all of them.
As annoying as it is for white people to instantly elevate Eminem, I agree with fighting that culture and highlighting the inequity but I'm not going to undercut how incredible a lot of his work is to counteract other people's judgments.

That’s the misconception, I wasn’t “Mad” at his statement. Just don’t make one verse from a white rapper all of a sudden regain your faith in a music that you don’t listen to. I just didn’t respect his statement, far from upset or mad.

That's why mainstream rap is all about being drugged out and materialism and hoes...to keep you focused on bullshit so you can't be the best person you can be. Cannabis actually motivates me because I start thinking of all the shit I fucked around and procrastinated on and I pick up my pen and start finishing my songs. I don't like jewelry, and I don't like expensive sneakers(that old phrase about cars depreciating as soon as you drive off the lot needs to be applied to sneakers...you walk in them and if you're in a crowded place they're going to get stepped on). Positive, socially positive hip-hop is the enemy of people that want us dumb and complacent.
