I thought I saw a clip where Esso more or less confirmed the story. He didn't go as far as saying he was setting Math up, but he acknowledged something was wrong with the people he brought. He didn't go into what the issue with the people were.
Even without that, it's been three odd weeks and Esso has not refuted Math's claim. He could be ignoring it but most would come out and say the claim is false.
