I was like oh snappp they killed prime this movie is gonna be good than when my boy starscream threw out megatron I cheered mad loud… I’m a horror flick guy so I tend to root for the bad guys.. just like in gi joe my fave person was serpentor cobra-la-la-la

Same, but exactly how fucked up was the 80s for a group of to think it was a perfectly fine idea to brutally kill off characters in a kids movie? all for the sake of introducing new toys for them to make their parents buy?
Capitalism and stupidity. That might be one of the reasons why You Don't See Peter Cullen or Frank Welker in any of the bonus features. Optimus Prime and Megatron are two of the reasons the franchise has been so successful
What's crazy is every kid I know saw that movie, I don't know how in the hell it tanked in the theaters. It only made like 9 million
I dusted off my old Soundwave and Jetfire figures and nearly broke the damn things after 35+ years. 
Those were really well designed toys for the 80's kinda like solving a puzzle, very advanced stuff.

Edit. Wanted to add this: go to Target/Walmart/Ross (Ross not as good anymore) Bestbuy, Bigbadtoystore, Hasbro Pulse (get it early, lowest prices overall) tfsource.com. Only the last 3 do preorders and if you preorder you are almost guaranteed the best prices. Target will price match the lowest price. If it says not available to ship or delivery but is in the store for a lower price Target will sell at the lowest price point. Ebay and Amazon will rape you. Blind. Don’t do it!
