Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

One thing that didn’t make sense to me in this episode.

Dany was furious at Jaime in Winterfell, but in the lats episode of season 7 she was at King’s landing and he was there and she didn’t say shit,

She just wasn't in a position of power at that point

They were in the dragons pit she was on the side
Funny how her mood changes when she's in the big chair

You giving the writers too much credit, it was just bad writing

Or. She just wasn't in a position of strength.
She didn't even say a word to him the entire meeting
Nor did he to her

So
When was she supposed to talk about this?

Lol.

She barely said anything other than I don't trust you to cersei

She is less in a position of strength with the night king days away but that didn’t stop her.

She could have at least cut him a look. That is the man that killed your father.

And yet when she found out who he was she said that means you are the last heir male you have a claim to the throne

Your immediate reaction is what's in your heart

So the things you said she did she definitely did do out of love

What does love have to do with her goal which she cares about lol

In this same episode her and Sansa were becoming besties until Sansa was like yeah after this we just want to be left alone up north and not bend the knee and she literally moved her hand away from hers and her face turned to stone

Is this your queen?

She regularly doesn't do what he says
That's why Sam's father and brother got bbq'd and she didn't tell Jon knowing damn well Sam was his best friend lol

He appealed to her vanity
She wants her cake and eat it too
She's literally not understanding why the north doesn't instantly love her and praise her and act as if they're lost without her

Feeling someone is just is perspective
Which is the point

She believes her right to the throne is the most just and won't let anything stand in the way of that period

So if you think for a minute she'd be ok with Jon being the king

These last few episodes are going to shock the shit out of you

Dany has been working for the throne her entire life, and has been betrayed her entire life. The first instinct is naturally going to be anger and suspicion. I think she comes around and either bends the knee or is at least willing to, because she loves Jon. A personal sacrifice of her life long dreams and ambitions for love.

Was going back and forth with my brother on this. He brought up a point I forgot.

In the house of the undying the Warlock told Dany she will suffer three betrayals. One for blood, one for money, and one for love...

Jon is going to kill her....or perhaps Tyrion...or even Jorah.

I'm thinking Jorah.

Jon gave Jorah honor back

Jorah LOVES Dany.

He will betray her for Jon Snow.

Interesting...

I think actually you want to bend the knee

Black power

NOT fair!

That's fair to think that
But also it's fair to say she can go mad like her father

I dont think you understand.

Lady of Winterfell is not the same title as Queen in the North. At all.

Jon never stopped being King in the North.

Then why did you mention him returning as if that removes her from being queen now that he's back?

Do you not remember her asking who's in charge while he's gone?
How little finger got all in her ear about being the lady of Winterfell?

You know the word "the" makes the difference right? Lol

You act like the fight is just against the North. She could have taken the throne and the north would come see about her with the Night King in a few months.

Lets go with another scenario.

Could she not have told Jon, from the beginning, that she will prioritize getting on the throne because that way she would have an even bigger army to face the NK once he comes South?

Jon would have objected because by then everyone in the North would be dead.

So yes, she made the choice to prioritize the North. For whatever reasons she may have, she is helping the North. For that they should be grateful.

Hell I know Cersei is not an example to follow for anything, but she is proof that Dany could have made different/selfish choices altogether.

Has it been established WHY the Night King is coming and what he wants? ??

It's clear the North had some type of agreement with the White Walkers because they've stayed away and would only come down to get the babies to bring back to the Night King to convert. Literally, they wouldn't even kill people ... they just wanted the babies. Multiples time a white walker could have killed Sam and he didn't.. that's how Sam killed a white walker the first time when one knocked him down because he was between him and the baby....and then Sam stabbed him in the back with the dragon glass.. the white walker almost acted surprised by it before he did.

I don't think its been made officially clear what the Night King wants beyond an endless night. I've heard all kinds of theories from the Night King simply being the embodiment of death to the Night King wanting Jon (Aegon Targaryen) to take his place at the next Night King at the Land of Always Winter (northern most part of Westeros where the Night King resides) once freed from his immortality.

The Wight may have assumed that baby was being left for the Night King like all the other babies and didn't see Sam as a threat when it slung him out the way to get to the baby, so it was taken off guard when Sam stabbed it in the back. That "sovereign" agreement was only between the Night King and Craster's keep. The other Freefolk (i.e. Hardhome), the North, and further south are fair game.

And the North is helping her. If Brann is truly the key she wouldn’t have shit without them

You are the one who brought up Jon being gone, but now that he is back she no longer needs a title.

Its like being regent to a young king. Its not the same as being king.

Jon was the king, he didnt stop being king while he was away, once he bends the knee, thats it for the North, and Sansa is suppose to follow her king in bending said knee.

Jon is exactly like his father- both of them

Even down to loving a wildling when he wasn't supposed to.

Why can't Dany be like hers?

She wasn't raised by her father like Jon was (in respect to Ned). All she has of him is the stories she has been told all her life and her desire to make her own way and rule everybody.

To this day she has no clue who or what Bran is.

But yes, they have formed an alliance. This is where GoT is at now. No more gray areas. Theres the good guys and the bad guys.

Which has shaped her right?
She was raised by an extension of her father, her brother who we remember as entitled bratty and a turd at times
Sounds familiar????

She also has the same traits as her father

Again Jon had the traits of his father and then nurtured luckily by a man that was like his.

All the kids were raised by ned too lol
They ain't all like Jon

And I brought up him being gone in reference to you asking all snarkly who made her queen then STFU lol

Jon did

She was queen in charge. Queen.

The lady.

Yeah, but she's been trying to transcend her father and upbringing and be a better person, to be different than he was. Jon aspires to be like Ned and values and embraces how he was raised - to be honorable. I think she will let go of her past and ambition for Jon. If it comes down to it.

An issue that the show is not being brought it is, Sansa is the Lady of Winterfell by birth. Jon Snow was never the Lord of Winterfell.
He was named King in the North by people who didn't have the power to name him king! Sansa is there and she is the Lady of that Castle.
Then Arya. Bastards have no true claim.

Now it is proven Jon is a Targaryen, he still has no claim to Wintefell per se.

You will still need a Lord/Lady of Winterfell or Warden of the North. This is a title that is Sansa's birthright NOT Jon's.

The lady.

Again.

Lady/Lord <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< King/Queen.

Jon did NOT make her queen.

If he had made her queen he would have said the word queen.

At this point its clear you are watching an alternate version of the show.

Sansa is no queen. She is a Stark, and she is lady of Winterfel while Jon is gone. Who is going to question a Stark?

you are wrong.....

Bran is the legitimate lord of Winterfell

then Sansa, then Arya...

The King of the North is really whomever the lords of the north choose to pledge their fealty to -
Rob was declared king by his bannermen, same thing happened to Jon - he didn't seek the throne he just asked everyone to come together to fight the dead
Littlefinger plan backfired and events and Lady Mormont went their own way to elevating Jon

People keep forgetting the North does things different than the South, different religion different rules
As soon as they no longer recognized a king in King's Landing - for the North the religion of 7 went out the window as did most rules handed down from Red Keep
