Drafting larger vehicles for better fuel efficiency

That works on the race track. Not on the freeway.

Like I pointed out earlier with the tires. One of those tires explode, you got rubber shrapnel blasting in your direction. And if it’s the rear tire, you got the mud flap coming at you.

Also, you can’t see around the truck. The general rule is if you can’t see the trucks mirrors, he can’t see you.

Trucks have a higher clearance from the road. The truck can easily drive over majority of road hazards in front of it without worrying about it.

A simple Orange traffic cone on the road won’t do anything to a truck. You in a sedan or standard size SUV/Pickup truck, a cone comes flying out from under that truck and you hit it. You can possibly lose control of your vehicle or the cone can get wedged up under you causing damage to your vehicle.

A group supporting Herschel Walker gave out gas vouchers. Georgia Democrats cried foul.
The group handed out $25 fuel vouchers and Walker campaign flyers to motorists in line at a downtown Atlanta gas station.

I am thoroughly convinced that they are gouging. I filled up with Premium last Thursday for $4.99. Same Station on Sunday was $5.15.
Price jumped 30 cents on Sunday where I am. I drove by a Sunoco it was $4.19 in the morning, a mile up the road Walmart was $4.49. I said that's gotta be a mistake, but Walmart prices are never off like that.

Midday, I drive back home passing that Sunoco, and their prices jumped to $4.45.
I went on GasBuddy app to check area prices and everywhere went up.

Fucked up thing was that was just the Xtra Fuels station I found while I was out. All the other stations went from $5.25 to $5.79 over the weekend!

Listening to the news this morning.

National average is now $4.91/gal. It’s jumped about .70 from a month ago. It’s expected to hit $5/gal national average by weeks end.

The national average gas price is creeping toward $5 a gallon, and there's no immediate end in sight

The price of oil continues to soar with the arrival of hurricane season in the U.S. and the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Funny thing is demand is staying high. People are buying at these prices to fill up now before they go even higher!

Thats the primary issue nobody is talking about.

As long as folks keep spending money on shit they really don’t need, the price of fuel will continue to go up.

It’s not the price you paying for, it’s the cost of getting the goods to the shelf/your front door.

Shipper’s, Receivers and trucking companies are passing off the cost of fuel to the consumers, it’s the primary reason the price of goods is rising and staying high.

The average person has no clue how much this big bastard sucks up in 24 hours dragging itself across the Pacific Ocean.

Then you got the cost of these mofos.

I think it was a month ago they were saying in the news, be prepared for the gas to hit $5 national average by Aug.

I'm like August? Shit may be here by tomorrow. Literally.

House Oversight investigating $2 billion Saudi investment in Jared Kushner's firm

The House Oversight Committee has launched an investigation into a $2 billion investment by the Saudi government into a firm formed by Jared Kushner after he left the White House last year.

White House senior adviser Jared Kushner stands among Saudi officials as President Donald Trump talks with Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during a meeting in the Oval Office at the White House on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 in Washington, DC.

Are they fucking trolling? Bush family and everyone else been on the take with the Saudis. Swear our government is pure corruption and comedy at the same time.
I'm going to tell you all the trick

If there is any store in your area that offers fuel perks, use that shit.

In Ohio, and I guess the Midwest, there is a store called Giant Eagle, and the gas station is called GetGo. Every payday I buy 2-3 $200 gift cards, and each gift card is $0.40 off.per.gallon

Don't spend your cash to pay your bills or buy groceries or pay for anything. Pay for everything with these gift cards. Pay your light bill, your gas bill or any other bill with these gift cards. Do not use your debit cards because they don't help you

Today I just got gas for $2.40 a gallon because I had $2.50 off per gallon

Also utilize GasBuddy to find the cheapest gas in your area

You're welcome
Forgot about all that shit. Paying bills with regular cards like a big dummy. Thanks for reminding me.

These are some damn good tips.

Makes me want to go back to using my reward cards for gas to get points back vs using my debit card.

I've been using GasBuddy since it started. I have the physical card, linked to my bank acct. You save on average 5-10 cents a gallon. Costs me nothing. And I have the security of that my card can't be used to buy anything but gas. So when you see people credit/debit cards getting hacked at the pump, that ain't happening to a GasBuddy card.

These stickers are now showing up on pumps across the country.

Anybody with any clue on how Government works know that POTUS/Congress has nothing to do with the price at the pump.

Big Oil decides the price.

Anybody notice how the ignorant are nowhere to be seen protesting at Big Oil’s Headquarters or their gas stations?

Yep, seen couple of these at the pumps.

ExxonMobil, the country's largest oil company, reported its net profit more than doubled to $5.5 billion from a year earlier. That was even after booking a $3.4 billion charge from exiting its operations in Russia.

Meanwhile, Chevron reported its highest quarterly profit in nearly a decade, while Shell posted its highest earnings ever.

Containing The Longest Running Oil Spill In US History

Tonight, we bring you a distinctly Louisiana story, one we first reported last November, the saga of the Taylor Energy Oil Spill, a storm-caused, environmental crisis that's sullied the Gulf of Mexico since 2004.

Then, along came an unlikely duo: a no-nonsense Coast Guard captain who said enough is enough, and a homegrown Cajun engineer who brought with him the power of local knowledge.

Together they would resist a deep-pocketed energy company… and help stanch the longest-running oil spill in U.S. history.

They are deliberately telling these plants not to produce/refine. You know what's going on or just assuming? Majority of my neighbors work these plants. It's govt regulation restricting plants from running the way they want to run and produce.

I remember when Obama was in office and he made this carbon tax that made the plants run a certain amount of hours a day. It cost them more money to shut down and bring systems back up. So America costs more to refine and thereby buy oil from other countries where oil is sweeter and cheaper to refine.

Well watching CNBC, gas national avg hit $4.96 and as I stated above they said refineries are not outputting and refining at capacity due to this administration's restrictions on production.

All I can do is SMFH.

The national average for gasoline could be close to $6 by later this summer according to Tom Kloza, global head of energy analysis for the OPIS, which tracks gas prices for AAA.

"Anything goes from June 20 to Labor Day," Kloza said about the demand for gas as people hit the road for long-anticipated getaways. "Come hell or high gas prices, people are going to take vacations.

How much are drivers willing to pay before they cut back on driving? So far the number of gallons pumped at stations in the last week of May was down only about 5% from the same week a year ago, even though gas prices rose more than 50% during the same period. The number of US trips by car has slipped about 5% since early May, according to mobility research firm Inrix, although those trips are still up about 5% since the start of the year.

Oh shit. So here comes the :eek2: "russia!" tour to shift blame for the prices. There has to be a boogeyman if gas hits $6, Diesel through the roof, and the resulting price increase on every fucking thing.

Get ready for the pain. Everything going up and a bunch of people who don't know shit arguing political narratives to either attack or defend their sides. :smh: Long ass summer. People ain't even going to be able to afford to drive to pick up their pink slips and clean out their desks when the layoffs start.

I'm in the office today with half a tank of gas. I'm trying to decide if I should fill up at these rates now, or just basically not gas up again until necessary...surely gas will be even more by then.

I only go to the office 4 days a month and I don't do much driving otherwise. Everything is in walking distance of my condo.

Probably go ahead and spend it now rather than later.

I'd be talking to your bosses about getting a gas stipend or something. Lol

My old job I used to charge the job when using my personal vehicle going to our other offices for IT work. Don't see why, with prices today them mofo's shouldn't compansate employees for getting to work under these gas prices.
