Finished my 300 Blackout upper rebuild. Went away from my flamethrower 7.5" BCA upper to a 10" upper. Barrel & receiver from Aero Precision, handguard by Stngr and linear comp by Kaw Valley. Only thing I'm debating on now is whether to move the weapon light from my M&P Sport II AR that I just mounted the scope on or to just buy another weapon light to mount on this

I already have a backpack it fits in. Plus going with a stock would turn it into an SBR & I don't wanna pay for the tax stamp or chance a felony being caught without a tax stamp. For the most part this will be my primary home defense weapon but I like the luxury of being able to travel with it treated like a pistol as opposed to the restrictions of a rifle.

A California judge has just overturned the state's 30 year ban on assault weapons

According to the ruling by U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez of San Diego, the assault weapons ban deprives Californians from owning assault-style weapons commonly allowed in other states. Benitez issued a permanent injunction Friday so the law cannot be enforced.
"Like the Swiss Army Knife, the popular AR-15 rifle is a perfect combination of home defense weapon and homeland defense equipment," Benitez said in the ruling. "Firearms deemed as 'assault weapons' are fairly ordinary, popular, modern rifles."

You can install a folder (Law Tactical) and maintain the brace and pistol distinction. I'm fairly certain that you know this already, but...

Say round... how I use this shit?

I got it from Amazon like week before last, it's telling me I need a vise. I ain't got no gun vise... but I need to line these shots up.

Just took me wayyy too many shots to get a squirrel (#11 this year)
Can I use a regular bench vise?
I don't see why not, just pad the jaws.
I still ain't used it yet. I'ma make time this week to do something

Indeed. I guess I mistook what he meant cuz he said folding stock as literally putting a stock on it.

Not sure if I'd wanna put a folding brace on though cuz of the size of my SB4 brace. If I had a sharkfin brace, I'd probably consider it more as it'd more thinner and not as bulky when folded. Still something to consider though.

Anybody have any experience with Sig?

Sig Tread Pistol 11.5"

I don't have any experience with their rifles or AR pistols. I'm not a fan of AR pistols in general unless they're in 300 Blackout because they're not designed to be shot outta shorter length barrels. If you do get one that's not chambered in 300Blk, you're probably gonna need a flash hider or comp on it to replace the A2 birdcage otherwise you're gonna have a pistol that is gonna be loud and spit out fireballs from all the unburned gun powder

Asking more about reliability. Any recalls or quality control issues from Sig?
Gotcha. I haven't heard of any issues with them. Only Sig I've heard of any issues or recalls recently was with the P320 for accidental discharges if the pistol is dropped.

Beretta 1301 Tac in bound. As usual I went full send on setting this bitch up! (Oh and a PDP, to see what the hubbub is about)...
I guess it could be worse, I could be spending $$ on cocaine and hookers... :dunno:

my daily carries are either of my Taurus's or my Glock 22
What kind of holster you like?

Also, what kind of slings y'all running? I need some slings for AR pistol & rifle

What you think about this? Quality & reliability wise?
I really don't have any experience with Sig rifles nor know anyone who owns one so I can't really say anything about their quality or reliability. Only thing I would say is if I was to get an AR pistol then I'd get one in 300 Blk that's made for shorter barrels as shooting a .223/5.56 outta anything below 16" is gonna leave you with bigger muzzle flash and a louder sound due to all the unburned powder. You won't get the full capability of the round in the shorter barrel. 300 Blk was designed for barrels around 10" where it's at its sweet spot and gets 100% powder burn.

@coldchiI know you like Taurus
What yall think?

Hard pass, especially when you consider the P365, Hellcat, and G43X.
I will say that I'm bias against Taurus since my HORRIBLE experience with the PT1911.
I agree with @DiGeneral but without the Taurus bias as I have a G3C as my car gun. If you're gonna go with a micro then I'd go with a P365 or S&W Shield Plus. Shield Plus isn't far off from the Taurus price wise, has better aftermarket support and is a much more reliable company when it comes to quality control.

Stay away for single point, as they are very impractical (IMO) upon further consideration (I probably have 4 or 5 that I no longer use).
2 point quick release is where it's at for practicality and real world use. I have been very pleased with Blue Force Gear and Magpul MS4 QDM. It's going to depend on what type of attachment you plan on running.

Thanks!
One will be QD, the others regular.
Now if I can find a MS4 reasonably priced

As long as at least one is QD then you should be good. That way in an emergency scenario where the sling needs to be removed, it's far less of a hassle

I can only imagine how loud it was. Maybe there's a flash hider or linear comp that can be used on it to help lower the volume.

I remember being at the range a few weeks ago and this guy was practicing with his shotgun in the station next to mine. Even with my ear protection on, I still felt the force from the blast and could only imagine how concussive it would be for someone with no ear pro on. I thought about putting a muzzle brake on my AR but then remembered how loud that shotgun was and knew anyone next to me while firing would absolutely hate me. Plus I wouldn't be firing a caliber where I'd see any benefit from adding the muzzle brake.

Guy in firing booth next to me had an AR that was just a piece of crap. I fired the PDP and watched him amused as he went through his immediate actions. All kinds of issues. Rounds wouldn’t extract, to me I think the gas tube and pressure was bad and the Magazines wouldnt seat. Pulled out my AR and burned off 6 30 rounders. He was still over there wrestling with his AR. It looked nice though lol also he never field stripped it to inspect the bolt carrier group. Don’t think he up on knowing his gear.
