Ahhhhh! Makes sense now. I keep it 100% real bro. Try some new glass. I put that same scope on my air rifle to shoot territorial, aggressive muskrats. I kept missing afar but went to a trap and that's the only way I got rid of it as the scope was trash. Try going a little bit above that which won't break the bank, Vortex Crossfire II second focal plane scope is my go to for entry level. Or go with Primary Arms Classic Series 3-9X44mm SFP Small-Caliber rifle scope. The only thing I don't know how PA is on returning shit. Order it from Amazon and if you don't like it send the shit back saying it is defective (amazon takes everything back) I have the same laser bore sighter and it aint perfect (aint shit perfect) but will get you on paper so I don't think it's the laser sighter.
So Simmons is crap?
It's on a 10/22 if that makes a difference :dunno:

Not saying all there stuff is crap but when you start looking at scopes and the differences between first focal plane and second focal plane you can go down a rabbit hole. You start to realize the problem of target shifting based on your head or eye movement (the slightest bit) is usually related to parallax and depending on the quality of your glass compensating for parallax isn't an option. Like I said it was only a suggestion. But I noticed all my issues were resolved when I stepped my glass game up. But some folks just get use to compensating for their particular scope parallax and use some good old Kentucky windage where you compensate for the shortcomings of the glass by doing holdovers. And by no means am I an expert but I have read a lot about glass and the Vortex Crossfire II Rimfire scope is the best for a 22lr in my book.

I did a lot of research when I started putting things together.
On my Bolt-Action Ruger American Target (22lr), I put a Leupold FX-I Rimfire 4x28mm. It's not too expensive, and the quality is there.

There are certain brand names I just look for ie... Leupold, and Vortex. Simmons isn't one of them. Now if some one gave it to me, that's a different story.

Go for quality, but be cost conscience too... Scopes can get expensive quickly. So I shopped around. Hell, a lot of scopes can easily cost more than the rifle (Nightforce and Trijicon are examples of this). I didn't need a lot for the 22lr. What I have is perfect for me.

I have a full size 4.5" as my primary home defense pistol. Gonna purchase a threaded barrel for it & then get a suppressor for it so it can join my 300Blk as my home defense suppressor ready weapons

Nice! I haven’t fired my SFx Rival yet but I’m wondering if it’s as smooth as my PDP. Just like the PDP this thing feels great. Grip etc. I didn’t know Canik sent all the stuff they do with their guns! Spoil a mf!

Yea, it came with it.
Oddly, I sighted it in a little manually by just shooting from a squatted position on my back porch at a hanging steel target. I had it dialed in pretty good, I got 15 squirrels one year, but I thought it would be better once I finally got my vise set up & used the SiteLite laser that I bought a couple years ago.

No dice. Now I just waste ammo. I missed a few squirrels with 5-7 clear open shots.

I'm finna load the VEPR with birdshot. They done tore up my peach trees, now they working on my pear trees & muscadine vines.

Yesterday I saw a squirrel walking on top of my fence, got to driveway, jumped off and strolled 50' down to street, and crossed the street. Sumna bish!

Greetings Fam, here's a dude that I've learned a helluva lot from. He's on YouTube and his handle is "GunBlue490." He was a marksman in the military. And, I believe he was a sniper for some police department back East.

I've had people ask me, "Why do you look at these white people?" Because these same white people are the ones who are pushing the envelope when it comes to firearm technology and shooting tactics etc...

Anyway, what made me post this was someone asked about a scope last week. I watched this guy's videos on scopes, and I used his philosophy. My scope doesn't have a huge ass bell. It didn't cost $1,000.00. And most importantly, I brought home the meat from a cow elk that I harvested last year. The steaks in the pic are from the elk. We’re putting them on the grill this evening with some baked potatoes, while we sip on some wine and talk shit.

I’ve use this guy’s advice, as I’ve outfitted several bolt-action rifles. Some of his videos are long, but they are more than worth it. Don't let that sweater fool you, this guy is the truth. If you’re serious about bolt-actions, and you want to learn some real shit that’s applicable… this is your guy. I’m a witness!

I've been trying to hold back & not cop the PDP Pro but today I shot my homegirl's 5" PDP Compact w' the same Dynamic Performance Trigger that's in the PDP Pro and that shit was crazy!!! If I was teetering on the edge of not swapping out my full-size 4.5" in favor of a PDP Pro before then I'm damn sure swan diving off that mofo now. Damn this addiction!!!

I went ahead and upgraded from the PDP to the PDP Pro. The Dynamic Performance Trigger is fantastic but just having the threaded barrel made the upgrade worth it. Debating on whether I'll cerakote the slide like I did with the last one. Definitely gonna upgrade the light to a Surefire X300

Nice. Question... Have you ever run a X300? I'm asking because I actually like the paddles on the TLR better than my Surefires. The Streamlight's light output appears to be brighter in my experiences. I haven't copped the new X300 Turbo, I'm going to hold out until Cloud Defensive releases their WML.

I have not. Primary reason I'm gonna upgrade is because I plan on running a suppressor and all of the suppressor compatible holsters I see require a Surefire X300 for solid retention. My PDP is my primary home defense pistol so when I add a suppressor to it along with my 300Blackout with a suppressor, I'll be able to pick off any idiot who tries to break into my home before they realize what happened.

Fair enough. Have you gotten the chance to run the Pro through the paces? FWIW, I vote for you to coat your slide.

Not yet but I will very soon. Just picked up the Pro this past Saturday and received the plate today. Gonna let the locitite cure so I probably won't get some range time in til maybe this weekend. Next week I'll be at a 400yd range to get some rifle work in but will bring in the PDP & my M&P 2.0 for some pistol time as well.

By the way, a heads up for anyone who currently has a full-size PDP, if you opt to get the PDP Pro full-size, be aware that the regular mags will not fit in the PDP Pro unless you remove the magwell. As you can see in the pics below, the baseplate for the regular mags are too wide to properly fit in the magwell so they're unable to engage and lock into place
