Anyone have 1st hand experience with either the fn, ruger, psa 57 pistols. It's not a need, just a want. Looks like a fun gun to shoot with some self defense applications.
The same exact scope? Hmm.. I'ma try this one again for now until I get the funds or come across a good deal on a Vortex or PA

Damn, the reviews are mostly good, tho. Some bad, of course everybody's mileage varies.
How do you use your laser bore sighter?

I was mainly wondering about the reliability of the firearms. Seems like a nice addition to the aresnolI have an FN 5.7, PS90, and a Ruger 5.7. What would you like to know?
FN 5.7 ammo WAS priced low enough to justify using one as a range toy. However, current price and availability of factory FN ammo has stopped me from using mine for target practice. I have 1k + of some of the more exotic and highly desirable FN ammo. American Eagle has 5.7, but my FN chokes on it, and I refuse to use anything other than factory ammo in my PS. I have factory SD ammo to EDC my FN, but I have FA's that are far better suited for EDC and SD duties. Ideally, reloading is where it's at for the niche calibers, but I haven't begun to venture down that rabbit hole.
No issues with my Ruger at all. The FN pistol is finicky with American Eagle brand ammo. I'm currently considering grabbing the FN MK3.I was mainly wondering about the reliability of the firearms. Seems like a nice addition to the aresnol
New Springfield Armory Prodigy 1911 double-stack pistol
I saw it in person not too long ago. The grip texture is nice but is very thick compared to other 1911s/2011s I've handled. For me, I struggled to get to the mag release with my thumb which would defeat the purpose if I was looking for a competition gun. Trigger was ok but nowhere near the class of a Staccato. The store had a Bul Armory 1911 at the same price point that had a much better trigger and feel. Only thing it lacked was fiber optic sights and optic cut.I have the DS version in bound. Let's see how it compares to my Staccato...
I used the target that was in the box, and sighted using the other method. Each caliber has a different printout target. Print it, post it about 20-25 yards from you. Put some gun oil (very small amount just makes it easier to insert and take out of muzzle) on the rings on the portion of the sighter that goes into the muzzle. Turn on the laser, aim at the bullseye and get into a comfortable position or the natural position you will fire the weapon and aim like you normally would, make adjustments to your gun sight until the laser and your sight meet together on the bullseye of the target.
Such as? And by what metrics?but I have FA's that are far better suited for EDC and SD duties.
The best part. Anything but a pesky 9mma combat round
They don't come sighted in?Just adjust the sights when you get it.
How hard would it be to build a reliable & sexy Mk18 clone or whatever?
Mine was off... it shot to the left and high as I recall. But, it's always best to sight in a new gun yourself anyway.Such as? And by what metrics?

You got the tool to adjust handgun sights? I only have rifle tool.Mine was off... it shot to the left and high as I recall. But, it's always best to sight in a new gun yourself anyway.
I did it so long ago (mine is first Generation), but I believe simple hand tools like a screwdriver will do.You got the tool to adjust handgun sights? I only have rifle tool.
Wouldn't know how to use it
I have several in my EDC rotation. Proficiency in being able to place rounds where aimed using said FA (with sufficient rounds down range usually around 3-500), size, capacity, and weather all are considered.Such as? And by what metrics?
How hard would it be to get this setup
What exactly constitutes a "truck gun"? I've heard the term forever, but never delved into the definition.Speaking of truck guns.. how can we make an ak pistol into a good truck gun?
I guess a good gun to have in the truck. Usually something more than a handgun, maybe a PCC or PDW, that can be used to dispatch animals, protect camp, defense while on backroads or off-roading, etc. What exactly constitutes a "truck gun"? I've heard the term forever, but never delved into the definition.
So you just use screwdriver yI did it so long ago (mine is first Generation), but I believe simple hand tools like a screwdriver will do.
I have other tools for rifles as well.
It's been over 15 years Bro... I vaguely remember it shooting to the left and slightly high. It didn't need too much elevation adjustment if I recall. So you just use screwdriver y
to slide rear sight, no elevation adjustment?
