NFL recommends Deshaun Watson be suspended for a year. Here's how Twitter reacted
The eve before Deshaun Watson is meeting with the NFL, news broke that the league is recommending a year suspension. Here's how Twitter reacted.sports.yahoo.com
He sat last year but still got paid. So there was no actual punishment. In my opinion he’s already had to sit out a year to get all of this settled. Now that the majority of cases are settled, it’s time to move on and a suspension is no longer necessary.

Because he sat out last year and got paid, is there a possibility that he is fined a year's salary and is allowed to play?. Double jeopardy thing
Man, I forgot about the Kraft shit. This thing needs to be over with. The fucking NFL presented accusations of threats, coercion, violence, or force yet wants a fucking ADDITIONAL year(he sat out '21).So I'm seeing it like this
with what happened to Goddell at Congress
Snyder ducking out?
How in the f*ck the NFL gonna suspended Mr Happy Endings for a year if at all?
You CANNOT have Snyder trying to pimp cheerleaders, Kraft getting the same massages and Cowboys having peep holes like Porky's.
They do NOT want this to go any further.
They gonna have to make SOME type of deal with Watson
because they do NOT want MORE LAYWERS and Congress who would DESPERATLEY want some type of win with women at this point pursuing this.
“I’m told there’s a recording of an interview with the adult son of 1 of 12 women the NFL interviewed in the Deshaun Watson case —stating his mom initially was complimentary of Watson in their conversations after the massage, but later switched her account and tone after..negative allegations surfaced about Watson. The son intimated his mother intended to reward his silence, per league source.
There’s a feeling that the NFL was initially cagey about details they learned from the woman’s son—after only mentioning they interviewed him
..in their report. The son’s recording was later reviewed by Watson’s side revealing the aforementioned details —presumably illuminating why this particular accuser was not included with the 5 women the NFL ultimately focused on at the hearing.
I was also told the NFL presented no evidence of violence, force, threat or coercion in the allegations of the 5 women they focused on at the hearing before Sue Robinson.”
A major update has just been revealed in the case against Deshaun Watson.
On Thursday, NFL sider Josina Anderson took to Twitter and revealed that there is a recording of an “adult son of 1 of 12 women the NFL interviewed in the Deshaun Watson case” that reveals him calling out his mother for lying.
He spoke on prior conversations they had where she complimented Watson for his behavior during a massage, only to switch it up later once she heard the allegations against him.
He also revealed that his mother would reward him if he stayed silent.
Last month, Watson settled 20 of the currently outstanding 24 cases against him.
Houston attorney Tony Buzbee noted that those cases will be dismissed in his official statement.
“Today, I announce that all cases against Deshaun Watson, with the exception of four, have settled. We are working through the paperwork related to those settlements. Once we have done so, those particular cases will be dismissed. The terms and amounts of the settlements are confidential. We won’t comment further on the settlements or those cases.”
There are still four cases against him pending, and that includes the original accuser, Ashley Solis.
“Ashley Solis is one of the heroes of this story. Her case has not settled and thus her story and that of the other three brave women will continue,” said Buzbee. “I look forward to trying these cases in due course, consistent with other docket obligations and the court’s schedule.”
Watson is also subject to potential penalty from the NFL, with commissioner Roger Goodell still working through a probe into any potential wrongdoing by the veteran quarterback, who could be hit with a substantial suspension.
With this round of conclusions to most of the ongoing cases, it’s likely the NFL will rule soon on the matter.
dude got a 200 mil fully guaranteed contract with the browns. So even with an unpaid suspension, he's still not loosing any money. He sat last year but still got paid. So there was no actual punishment.
"We were shocked and deeply saddened when we first learned of the allegations against our then franchise quarterback in March 2021," Texans owners Janice McNair, Hannah and Cal McNair said in a statement Friday. "Although our organization did not have any knowledge of Deshaun Watson's alleged misconduct, we have intentionally chosen to resolve this matter amicably. This is not an admission of any wrongdoing, but instead a clear stand against any form of sexual assault and misconduct.@woodchuck @REDLINE
Yeah yeah yeah
I understand a settlement doesn't mean they were lying
But based on this?
If Watson had just paid them off?
No interviews no criminal complaints no public tears no social media posts
And all NDAs honored
Very very interesting
Not justifying any of these actions by Watson or the Texans but...
Just saying.
All this shit is crazy. Only a Cleveland team would get involved in this shit. It's going to a long season up here.@woodchuck @REDLINE
