“......don't Michael and Prince me and Ye.....”
If there anymore doubts about the state of their friendship.![]()
I find it VERY interesting that an ENTIRE generation of current music fans AND artists claim that lyrics are no longer important
keep talking about beats and waves...
yet they dissect (incorrectly most of the time)
the most lyrical artists in the history of the genre of music that they PROFIT OFF OF
but REFUSE to acknowledge the HISTORY of.
Lyrics are a mood at this point.
What do you mean? There is still doubts about the state of the their friendship.
Michael and Prince never had problems with each other.
i am not surprised. Look at the music that people think are hot these days. Not one great quotable to be found. Unless you are Cole or Kendrick, or one of the other rappers that don't get any radio play, you wont get any great lyrics. Most of these rappers are catchy and can flow over a hot beat, but if you actually listen to what they are saying, it's not hot. I'm not gonna name names, but some rappers/groups that people think are all time greats, can't hold a candle to some of the best lyricists of all time. Yeah, they sell, but that doesn't mean you are more talented. Half these rappers out are 2-dimensional. They can only talk about money (i.e. cars, clothes, etc) and women. Some are incapable of telling a story or possessing the gift of having the listener actually think about their lyrics (i.e. BIG, Jay, Pac, Ghost). Back in the day, when people rewinded a song it was to catch something that was said. Now a days, no on cares. Just corny punchlines and beats, that's all we get now.I find it VERY interesting that an ENTIRE generation of current music fans AND artists claim that lyrics are no longer important
