I’m honestly baffled by so many comments in this thread.

Democrats don’t need any cheerleading, folks in power never need cheerleading... they need to be held accountable. All massive wins for ordinary people in this country have only come about by a confluence of organized activism (in the real world) change demanded from the public, pressure on legislators, and coalition building.

Biden has a great approval rating now but so what? My alcoholic fast food manager from my early teens could do a better job and get a better approval rating than Trump, that bar is extraordinary low. Things will normalize soon and the memory of our body politic being what it is folks will walk those retarded Republican fucks right back into control of the house in the 2022 midterms and beyond. The only way around this is for Dems to swing BIG. Biden needs to go full LBJ and bully the fuck out of these lukewarm holdouts in the senate. He and Harris need to use the bully pulpit in public to harangue them so their constituents raise hell (read: the plebes not the corporate donors who are the defacto “constituents” for these plutocrats) and bend their ears in private as well in addition to hardball negotiations behind the scenes. It’s still early in the game and I’m hopeful and glad there are adults back in the room but there needs to be a sense of urgency around pushing these people hard (and yes from the left) because these fascists on the right are getting crazier and crazier and 2 to 4 years goes by fast.

Listen they need to put out a $15 an hour bill by itself not related to anything I am not a left Democrat I am just a regular Democrat but I do believe in the $15 hour thing we need to do this or else. The Democrats in the house and Joe Biden are doing great we just need to slap some heads around in the Senate

Forever trying to keep people poor. Capitalism is some shit.
I am still a Stone cold Democrat but these eight Democrats today need a wake up call also Bernie Sanders did drop the ball a little bit on this the $15 hr thing should have been a separate bill not associated with the stimulus.

Listen I am still a Democrat and I hate Republicans I do not want to see them in power again we need to put the right Democrats in office to get things done. I make well over $15 an hour and I am still fighting for the Minimum wage to be lifted to $15 an hour. The minimum wage thing needs to come back up immediately as a separate bill to clear the air. Oh and some of you know that I am not a hard left Democrat I am just a regular Democrat who hate Republicans But I am very passionate about the $15 an hour thing.

This guy is more dangerous than Trump. Dem will lose in 2022 and 2024 because of him. DINO...

Listen I don’t think the Democrats will lose if they primary some Democrats who was not following orders. The Republicans are much worse and they don’t give a damn about poor people. Hell the Republicans may freaking lower the minimum wage if they have too much power.

The Senate is poised to press forward on President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion stimulus bill after Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.V., said he would support a compromise deal to extend a weekly $300 unemployment benefit, breaking an hours-long impasse over attempts to change the provision.

For about nine hours, senators negotiated over proposed changes to the massive package’s unemployment benefits. Much of the impasse focused on Manchin, a moderate Democrat who expressed interest in plans from Republicans and Democrats.

The compromise agreement extends the federal unemployment benefit at $300 per week through the end of August, according to a Democratic aide not authorized to speak on the record. The first $10,200 of unemployment benefits would be non-taxable for households with incomes under $150,000, the aide said. The original version of the bill passed by the House last week had the benefit at $400 per week running through the end of August."

The thought process it astounding.

Why are they even calling this guy a moderate Democrat. It's clear this dude is a republican pretending to be a democrat.
