It's fine. It's drake.

Or more accurately it's RECENT Drake.

If your a diehard it's good a casual it's disposable with some good tracks on there. If you hated him before or were on the fence oooo boy you not gonna be happy.

But it isn't horrible

But I never expected to drop a classic I don't think he ever has. This kinda exposed a lot of kinks in the armor

The timestamp as usual was good, the sza record was good, Cole blacked out, f*ck what Yachty is doing on here, the beats are all decent.

Aubrey need to take a break AGAIN lock in with some mix OG & up and coming producers like he used to and drop like 4 fire singles no more yachts no more 21s.

I don't even mind UK grime drake but he need to focus have fun and try to be the BEST MC and entertainer again.

Thanks for the reply.

I asked a friend the other day how was it and he said “It’s Drake”, which meant it’s solid. I’ll listen and I’m sure that it’s solid too.

And “Take Care” and “Nothing Was The Same” we’re very good albums to me “Take Care” was probably the closest to a classic that he had.

Has anyone in here actually listened to Drake’s new album? I haven’t listened yet.

If so what do you think?
It just sounds uninspired.

My fave Drake projects are So Far Gone, Take Care, and If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late.

Most his albums don’t have high replay value to me. But I can tell when he puts effort into it. This is the first time where I felt like he just said anything. It felt lazy.

8am in Charlotte and the J.Coke song are the only songs i like and it’s a 24 track album.

Just cutting through all the clips and thinkpieces, I think this is the heart if Joe's comments. The hooks were lazy, the flow was lazy..... nothing seemed inspired, there was all surface no substance no....nothing "real" in here.

When Drake was younger his bars and hooks exemplified hunger / aspirations/ desires for more.....the bravado and grandiose...now this mfkr is cosplaying as a "youngin."

What are the "hits" on this album? "Slime you out?" "8am?" Not for nothing but Drake usually will give you 3 solid bangers on an album that you're gonna hear on the hour every hour on the radio......I hear "Search and Rescue" more than "Slime You Out" and I still hear "Spin Bout U" and "Wait For U" more than that one....

Sn: that Bad Bunny song is pandering 101.... that shit was not like his usual "borrowing" of waves/flows/cultures.....that shit is bad.

Drake has been operating off a formula for a while. Whatever is trending or has next he does it. His trend hoping has kept him relevant for this long.

It's just that many are noticing what many of us realized years ago.

There was no reason to change it up after it kept working.

On the pod Joe is either gonna be Mr Pander Bear (walking back his comments), or he's gonna black out...... I don't see him staying even tempered with all the heat on him the past fewbdays

I don't like that Joe read any of the DM message, that seems messy. But I get it, this dude said all this in public calling him a failure and etc....

Clearly something is going on behind the scenes, cuz in context Joe didn't say anything out of line. For Drake to respond the way he did and to DM Joe like that as well, because in the past it was radio silence immediately and then subs and jabs a few days/weeks later.

Yes, Joe has a tendency to be an asshole and gaslight and all that, but a lot of ppl agree his criticism was spot on. This is a good/great album for Drakes younger base, for his older base, it's ok...but we expected more. Wouldn't call it trash or say "the boy" fell off.

I’m sure he told Drake that he’ll be reading some of this shit on the pod.

Still messy and corny though

I finally got a chance to listen to the album today and...

It's Drake. If you listen or have listened to Drake, the. You know what to expect. It's Drake.

It's not wack, he hasn't fallen off and the album isn't bad or as bad as people are trying to make it.

Drake talks about his life, his experiences and what he has to deal with. It was aight to me.
