a lot of artists dissed Joe since he retired including a new one by Drake.... all the while Joe has said multiple times only one person would get him to come back...

Today - Joe said that right now Em isn't good enough to call him out- but said he'll step back in if Em finds his inner fire again

Em has a machine that he can use to push a hit - but he needs to make one first

When "black dudes" say they like or listen to Eminem I figure they grew up around white people

I've never listened to an entire Eminem project and have no desire too

And a lot of Em's peers give him credit, because he was selling a shit load of records. You're not going to want to get your white fans upset at you. They're going to pick the white boy.

I'd like to hear what they say off the record or behind closed doors.

speaking for myself - when compared to the catalog I've heard from Em in the late 90s - 05 I haven't heard a solid verse from Em since around 2009 or 2010

If Joe is really a fan of Em - why would he want to step in the ring against a diminished version?

Off and on the record, the artists who speak highly of him are speaking about his skill level. I can't see Rakim listening to an Eminem album, but he's heard enough to respect his lyrical ability.

I give Em credit, he can spit. In technical lyrical ability, he is one of the best ever.
Does that mean he's the "GOAT"? No he's not.

This. Plus alot of us have this thing where we go too far in showing benevolence to race. We don't want to appear racist so we overrate white guys that do the same thing as bruthas. I see this in sports alot. In street basketball "The Professor" was just a street ball player with handles. There is a whole bunch of street ballers with handles but "The Professor" real novelty was that he was a white guy. The same can be said for Jason "White Chocolate" Williams. When you look at his stats he was mediocre. Our entertainers really embraced Justin Timberlake as an "artist" even though he is an average dancer and average singer. Bruthas act like Kim Kardashian is gorgeous. Act like JLO was the first chick in the US with a phat ass. As a people we often overrate and embrace mediocre white talent.
Other cultures don't do this. Venus and Serena weren't embraced until they excelled in Tennis until they couldn't be denied. Tiger Woods excelled in Golf until he couldn't be denied. Even though these people are dominant, the best in tennis and golf aren't out there saying Serena and Tiger are the GOATS.Country isn't overrating the Black Country singers.
 
Just finished the podcast. That was a hell of a rant by Joe. And a lot of what was said made sense. Hopefully Em responds.

In all this time what is Em really saying with this album?

Like what statement is this album making? About the industry, himself, politics etc?

Does it catch the spirit of the time?

Jay-Z has killed auto-tune, and consistently rapped about his growth as a man, his fuck up with Beyonce etc.

From a rapper of Eminems caliber you expect him to give us some insight on where his head is at in all these years since we haven't heard much from him.

I mean he's earned the platform to speak on what he wants by now he can even do experimental shit with his music.

Give us something we can feel.
 
First let me say this,

I'm not a fan of mfkrs like Bizarre that say "I never liked your ass anyways.." like we was cool amd aroumd each other numerous times and i tjouhjt it was love, but all this time you had a chip on your shoulder in regards to me?! Thats mad weak and pussy.

From day one Joe has said he is / was an em fan. I have yet to hear the full podcast, so as long as he isn't coming from a hater/ sucker pov like that, i have no problem with what he said in the clips / previews....

Its no secret em has been off his A game... And even em's A game didn't have the mkst substance to it. He was slick with the wordplah but there was no real depth to it consistently. He'd give you a track here and there, but not a whole lr even most of an album of bars with a message.

Now I've been Joe fan since his studio debut, but even with that... If this is feud that gets Joe back in the booth, then do it. Don't half ass this shit and tease this friendly feud with Crooked an Em just to make peace behind the scenes... Get in the booth and put words on a track. Ditch the podcast.

technically , em is skilled. but do you feel him? does he have soul with his shit. pac was technically mediocre as an emcee. but mfs feel him.

I'll go even one step further. During Slaughterhouse's tenure, you have Arab Muzik, Just Blaze, and the Alchemist just to mention a few in the mix in the Shady Camp who were around then. There were some beats here and there, but not nearly enough to go with what was truly at their disposal. Even with the music Em made at the time.

He not even feeding the pack, I haven't heard a song with Em and those boys, and they got a real movement. I may have missed a song or snippet with him on a track with them. After watching the entire podcast Joe got lot of real valid points. Jay, Ross, 50, were or are huge artist and let who they signed stand next to them. Slaughter house was DOPE, and he didnt pull that off. Got these young boys and seems to be the same.

All that being said I know you are a fan but don't let that blind you from the aforementioned.

Im a Nas fan but I recognize my dog is an idiot when it comes to women, beat selection, and putting folks on. Just is what it is. He could have done better, not that he did bad, but just saying its facts.

that's why i wanted to hear what that sh with just executive producing it would sound like. they all said it's done. em like his beats a certain way which i'm not a fan off. regardless who's producing for him, it will sound like eminem production.
