Have you been in any of the threads on this board related to BLM or missing/brutalized people? Most get outraged if it is a black man. If it's a black woman they need more facts. They can't support BLM because a lesbian started it. Then you have the conspiracy nuts saying it's a fake group and George Soros funded. They ignore groups that have been lumped into the BLM bucket such as the Advancement Project or Color of change. They ignore the voices of members on here who are actually involved with BLM who can speak on it. They complain about what white folks are doing to us, but want to shit on all the people out there doing the work to stop it. I have an entire protest thread about incidents, activities, and general black news to amplify what is being done.
They don't want to get involved, which is fine, but instead of tearing down other folks to hide and distract from their own inaction, why can't they just shut the hell up? Send a positive thought their way and not hinder people, or not speak against it trying to get other people to stay uninvolved as well?
WE can't agree and get the majority of OUR OWN people on the same page about our own issues. Why do you think we will be able to get a majority of ANOTHER race who is probably sitting around having the same conversation in regard to us? We don't need a majority tho to make a difference. We need a percentage of each so together we become a majority.

We have far too many resources outside our community that we need assistance in getting access to we can't do that if we close ourselves off.
I like the idea of a strong black utopia, but we can't get everyone on the same page. So you work with those who will work with you. Fight with those who will fight with you. Build with those who will build with you. Regardless of race. The preference is to do it with as many black people as who will get involved. However you can't save everybody, not everyone wants to be saved or sees a need to be saved. Not every black person wants to build with other blacks. They too have bought the WS lie and think every black person BUT them are trash. Fuck them. Leave them. We can't keep going the way we are going tho, hardening our hearts to everybody's fate but our own. ALL groups are being targeted.

Anyone can see the path we are on is not sustainable if they simply take a moment to consider our history and what is happening in the world and likely outcomes of certain actions and behaviors. If A happens then B happens. If B happens then C happens.

All which in and of itself should have been enough to vote.
Then we saw who he was aligning himself with. Jeff Sessions, an early supporter who was so horrible Coretta Scott King had written a letter to congress when he was being considered. Stephen Miller whose racist history is public record. Steve Bannon whose publication promoted itself as catering to the alt right.
We saw who was supporting him. The KKK. David Duke, whom while we have video of Trump condemning in the past, when Trump didn't want to disavow his support claimed he didn't know who he was. A racist being happy over anything is never good news for us, and Trump thrilled ALL of them.
We knew Trump knew nothing about government. We knew the only area he might know about was economics, but we also knew he had 3-4+ bankruptcies. We knew he only wanted the presidency for show. We knew he wanted to be hands off when he approached Kasich and others offering them the VP, saying they could run everything and make policy they wanted. They would basically be in charge.
I made this argument over and over before the election. Trump had no guiding doctrines other than doing what he can to stay in the spotlight. We needed to know who he would surround himself with, because they would be the puppet master pulling his strings and with a vision of an all white nation or a medicare free, Medicaid free, healthcare free, entitlement (earned benefits) free government. They want low wages so they get higer profits. They want private prisons to make money off incarcerating us and monetizing black suffering.
So what do you get with a known white supremacist, surrounded by known white supremacists, who got elected by energizing a base using racist dog whistles and bull horns, (who if not white supremacists, were receptive to or seduced by the imagery, or at the very least did not see racism as a deal breaker) now in a position to make laws that affect the people they don't want living in his country?
We have an uptick in racial crimes, mostly directed toward women and children, but we have also had more that one mysterious hanging. There is no fear in outing themselves as racists, we had hundreds marching hoods off by day and torchlight by night where a church had to sneak members out to keep members safe. They are comforted in their racial hate, affirmed as a right feeling, validated with one of their own out and open in the presidency, after years of being underground and made to feel shame. Some have had personal consequences, but the majority is just becoming more assured their way of thinking will become the norm.
The fact he was a shitty person and known serial liar with no concrete plans, who treats women poorly, with a creepy obsession with his daughter was icing on the hate cake.
Everything that has happened was inevitable and obvious when you add 1+1. Some said folks needed to wake up, but now we are all in a national nightmare.
Unless we vote these people out we will continue to have a known racist, surrounded by known racists with the power to make laws and affect for the worse the lives of all the black and brown people they hate.
