I know but if s a region in the animated series. Go back to.season one when they first battled magneto. There was no tension between rogue and magneto. They barely knew each other.It actually isn't a retcon they took the story straight from the comics from the 90s. I hated that Rogue cheated on Gambit as a kid.

Yeah I understand but the only thing I can say is, they explained that they both acted like nothing happened.
The dynamic changed because Magneto went from a villain on the battle field to living in the house with them.
Since it happened in the comics I don't see this as a retcon but more the cartoon is staying true to the source material.

This series is a masterwork
This show has been great, and episode 5 was solidly amazing. But I do think people are trying a little too hard to crown it. I get it. We have been starved for X-Men content, especially good content. But acting like a live action run cannot be successful compared to this is a little much, IMO.
That said, I respect people's right to be hype , so I'm not trying to come down on anyone feeling good about it. I'm just saying.

Personally, I have liked the last few Marvel live action projects. I know that puts me in the minority in a lot of ways, which is why I'm not debating what's great versus what isn't. The last thing I was fairly unsatisfied with was Secret Invasion, but even the majority of that was visually sound.
All I'm saying is that I believe that it is possible for them to create a successful live action project. If not on par with this, then pretty close. And I think it's a trap to declare this the GOAT and act like something can't be better, because it's just setting yourself up to be disappointed in whatever comes next. But again, really not trying to have a heavy argument over it, because it's not that serious.
Days of Future Past movie was really dope to me. I fucks with that movie.

I don't see anyone saying this series is the goat and can never be equaled.
There is nothing stopping them making great live action content but themselves.

The biggest difference is that the creator of this animated series was a big fan of the comics.
For live action, they always hire people that have never read the comics to direct.
