Some people are ragging on Gunn for saying this, but the main problem the DCEU had was that it was trying to milk the success of the MCU without putting in the work or being its own thing. I think it's very smart not to embrace '97's success as a greenlight to begin reviving every old cartoon.

As much as I loved JLU, its time is done, and DC's animation division is the one thing they have actually done well with when it comes to mainstream media. There's no reason to look for gold when you already have it.

They wrapped up the story arc for that season, which they were going to do anyway, but they definitely had more they could have done if they got renewed.

They should mos def do Spiderman season 6 the original show runner wants to do it the show had a god season ending with the spider verse this unit they left a story thread unresolved with the maryjane clone saga and season 6 would've introduced new supporting characters like betty brant and dope villains like sandman, pumma, vermin, beetle etc.

DC movies are mostly trash; its just that simple; animations are dope! Marvel studios just change the game as it relates to comic movies; and now they are being judged by what they created! And DC is also being judged as to what Marvel Studios created; Quality over quantity is the key; and if they get back to what they created then they will be more than fine...

My thoughts on what’s gonna happen:

Xavier is gonna come back and see the X-Men are in rough shape.

Magneto is gonna be enraged, build Avalon, and launch a massive attack on earth.

The X-Men are gonna try and stop him but Magneto is in full rage mode and goes all out.

He does something that enraged Xavier (kills Rogue, rips the adamantium from Wolverine etc)

Xavier goes into rage and wipes Magneto’s mind.

All the negative energy brings in the villain for Season 2:



This allows the X-Men to interact with the Avengers, FF4, Spider-Man etc…..
