Just starting, but loved episode one. Bout time someone came close to getting Storm right. She's even disrespected in the live-action adaptations like all she can do is make it rain. Ororo bends nature and manipulates molecules. GET HER RIGHT!

According to the new hierarchy of Omegas, she's considered the second most powerful mutant after Franklin Richards.
In the current Fall of X storyline, she has faced Thor, a Goddess, Vulcan, and many others and still came out on top. Even Apocalypse follows her lead. Storm is both a Goddes and an Omega Level Mutant

About Ororo:
Storm is an Omega Level Mutant[6][40] able to control the weather and atmosphere and is considered to be one of the most powerful mutants in the universe. In fact, Storm's inherent raw power and potential has been stated to be nigh-infinite,[264] or even Incalculable.[265] One of the primary sources of her powers on Earth is the electromagnetic field.[266]

Atmokinesis: Storm is one of the most powerful mutants on Earth and has demonstrated a plethora of abilities, most of which are facets of her power to manipulate the weather.[268] Storm possesses the psionic ability to control all forms of weather. She has been able to control both Earthly and extraterrestrial ecosystems on several occasions
She can modify the temperature of the environment, control all forms of precipitation, humidity and moisture (at a molecular level),[268] generate lightning and other electromagnetic atmospheric phenomena, and has demonstrated excellent control over atmospheric pressure. She can incite all forms of meteorological tempests, such as tornadoes, thunderstorms, blizzards, and hurricanes,[269] as well as mist. She can dissipate such weather to form clear skies as well. Storm can also control the very fundamental forces that determine weather itself anywhere like the planet's magnetic fields, taking control of the magnetosphere on multiple occasions.[270]

Her precise control over the atmosphere allows her to create special weather effects. She can create precipitation at higher or lower altitudes than normal, make whirlwinds travel pointing lengthwise in any direction, channel ambient electromagnetism through her body to generate electric blasts, flash freeze objects and people, coalesce atmospheric pollutants into acid rain or toxic fog, and, along with her natural ability of flight, summon wind currents strong enough to support her weight to elevate herself (or others) to fly at high altitudes and speeds. Her control is so great that she can even manipulate the air in a person's lungs. She can also control the pressure inside the human inner ear, an ability she uses to cause intense pain. She can also bend light using moisture in the air and her manipulation of mist and fog to appear partially transparent, and in some cases, nearly invisible.[194]

Storm has also demonstrated the ability to control natural forces that include cosmic storms, solar wind, ocean currents, and electromagnetic energy. She has demonstrated the ability to separate water molecules into oxygen and hydrogen via electrolysis, allowing her to breathe underwater.[132] While in outer space, she is able to affect and manipulate the interstellar and intergalactic mediums. Such as when she bent primal cosmic forces to create lightning whilst still healing in the Acanti, or when she gathered hydrogen atoms around the silver surfer whilst in space to create an atmosphere around him[citation needed] Storm can alter her visual perceptions so as to see the universe in terms of energy patterns, detecting the flow of kinetic, thermal and electromagnetic energy behind weather phenomena and can bend this energy to her will.[271] she can perceive the stars, planets and even empty space as patterns of force and energy all of which she can control. She once summoned the full power of an entire galactic core which consisted of millions of suns and planets to purge the brood infection within her.[272] what makes this even more staggering was that the entire process of doing this was described to be simple for her.

Storm has been shown to be sensitive to the dynamics of the natural world, and her psionic powers over weather are affected by her emotions. One consequence of this connection to nature is that she often suppresses extreme feelings to prevent her emotional state from resulting in violent weather. On the onset of wolverine's death, she was rushed off planet because the X-Men feared she will set the planet's atmosphere on fire, once in outer space in her grief, she created a geomagnetic storm so powerful it caused global auroras worldwide for hours.[273] She has once sensed a diseased and dying tree on the X-Mansion grounds, detected objects within various atmospheric mediums—including water, and sensed the incorrect motion of a hurricane in the Northern Hemisphere and the gravitational stress on the tides by the Moon and Sun[274] as well as the distortion of a planet's magnetosphere.[275] Storm can view the Earth as weather patterns, and is able to precisely recognize her geographic position through interpretations of these patterns.[276] Storm's mutant abilities are limited by her willpower and the strength of her body. Storm is also able to manipulate earth and fire, create earthquakes and lava bursts.[270] Storm's abilities also work in other dimensions and realms as in the trion dimension, when she was able to overpower defeat the corrupted trion and by tapping into the elemental energies of that dimension, was able to heal the rifts in space and time made by trion possessed Juggernaut.[277] This demonstrated that Storm's abilities are far greater than even she anticipated.

Hmmm... you could be right.
Let's see.

Please don't get it confused that man most certainly did something SERIOUSLY wrong so I am not co signing him like that. But his work leading this was masterful and its sad he can't really fully enjoy it.

I feel like if the mouse REALLY thought there was no way for redemption they would have put the gag order on him.

Already watched those.

I finished the series last week.

They eventually gonna put out episodes forcing folks to go back and watch the original series.

As these new episodes play out, lots of shit is not gonna make sense if you don’t have a good memory of the original series.

Good to know.
I will do my best to keep this thread updated with postings from the original so that we can understand what is going on with the new plotlines.

Ayo. how much of this shit is in y’all "expert opinions"for the casual fan?

really this could apply to some of the mcu movies shows and whatnot in general

toe-ing that line between serving your base (comic/og animation heads) and appealing accessibly to curious but otherwise clueless mfers…

doesn’t seem like brand new is even the target here w/this joint. from all accounts, everything seems very focused on - y’all been asking for it almost 30 years… X gon give it to ya…

lmk — like I said a while back, this (and pretty much all marvel/disney shit) gotta be a binge-ready watch for me

My favorite YouTube reactors are loving this series, and their knowledge and experience of the original show and X-Men comics in general is limited.

About the hardest thing to navigate if you have no base knowledge is that the first episode doesn't hand hold you too hard on who and what the X-men are. But that said, they definitely do provide you with an entry point for the story, and unless you are just real slow on the uptake, it's easy enough to get caught up just from exposition.

It is definitely giving the longtime fans what they want, but a casual fan can definitely enjoy it
