The problem isn't female characters. There are plenty of female heroes in marvel comics and there was always string capable women in the MCU such as Peggy and Sharon Carter, maria hill, lady sif, gamora, wasp, shuri,. Ami, the Dora's etc. The problem is his they've been written as of late I'd say going back to Ant-Man . They are introduced in main heroes title and the hero gets outshined by her and is made to look like a bafoon as seen in Loki, Thor Ragnarok, Ant-Man, black widow is a perfect example with how they did red guardian.
I don't completely fault marvel studios for this because it's more of a forced pandering and they are doing it to save face. I read it here in some thread prolly this one that somebody at marvel tweeted something sexist so to save face marvel started gender swapping heroes and villian etc. I think it was also said the pandering is due to feminist nagging Kevin feige because if the success of wonder woman at DC.

On a side note I want to be interested in Thor love and thunder. The little that I read of Jane foster as Thor was good bit since odin is dead we prolly won't get the same story beats from the book. Especially since this movie is being helmed by taika watiti it will have a light hearted approach and won't deal with heavy handed elements like Jane battling cancer and depending on the lower of their to sustain herself. Also I'm sorry but I don't want to see valkeri and korg. I'm tired of lugging at Tessa Thompson's pug face and korg is not funny at all besides Asgardians don't love those rock people, why is Thor hanging out with him?
This started in the 80's and 90's with shows like Married with Children. The father is the stepping stool for the family. This is a 180 from 60's and 70's tv with fathers like James Evans sr. and Archie Bunker.

It's a comedic trope, nothing more nothing less. Think about how George Jeffersons MAID would talk to him like he was trash. This would never happen in reality and was a way of introducing a comedic element into the series.

Bro, nobody cares that there are female characters. There have always been female characters. Noone likes when it is forced and ruining the brand.

Dudes would go ape ish they did a Storm movie or a good Phoenix Saga or Rouge when she took Captain Marvel's powers. They wasted an opportunity by not just doing an iron heart movie.

Black Widow was wack. The female team up in Endgame was wack. She-Hulk looks wack. The Dr Strange movie was really a Wanda movie...wack. Captain Marvel was wack. Even the sister playing Captain Marvel in Dr. Strange....wack. Now, the daughter, who is rumored to be spectrum....that has potential. They could a Gamora and Nebula team up or origin film....that ish would be fire!!!!! A Dora Milaje movie would make more sense.

It has to be more organic and it is not. It is obviously forced. They have said as much.
All these wack movies are doing numbers so somebody likes them.

I actually liked the female team up in endgame. They had been building it up since Civil war with widow and the Dora having tension. Then Widow, Wanda and Okoye take out Proxima as a team.

Please stop with the numbers thing.

Iron Man 2 made more money than Iron Man 1. Does that mean it's better?? Hell no.

Americans once paid money for a pet rock.

No.
Marvel does NOT own all the "other" rights to Spiderman.
- Sony Does.
:smh:
feature film rights only
& Any live or animated TV /streaming has to be +44mins run time
"[Sony] has the exclusive rights to utilize the "Spider-Man" character... to (a) develop and produce live action or animated theatrical motion pictures (each, a "Picture") and live-action television series (and also animated television series with episodes longer than 44 minutes)."

no ancillary rights
no merch, toys, print,

in 2011 needing a boost of cash, Sony sold the merchandising rights back to Marvel. Which, ultimately, meant that Disney owned the merchandising rights to Spidey.

Now, Marvel is able to sell and profit off of Spider-Man toys, shirts, lunch boxes, and video games,

Sony NEVER owned Spidey video game rights... only Activision had an exclusive license that expired in 2014

No.
Marvel DOES need Universal to agree to allow them to use The Hulk to make movies and streaming series. Any time Marvel utilizes The Hulk:
- They need the permission of Universal Studios.
- They need to PAY Universal Studios.
Check it out:

This was from Mark Ruffalo's own mouth....

Marvel Finally Explains Its Hulk Deal

Universal and Marvel publicly agreed upon a new deal regarding the Hulk film rights in 2006. However, this only happened after Universal failed to get a sequel to Ang Lee's 2003 Hulk movie in active development by the contracted date (at which point the rights would revert to Marvel).

David Maisel, a former Marvel Studios executive who played a key role in getting the MCU up and going, subsequently proposed that Marvel Studios make the next Hulk film and pay Universal to distribute it, which resulted in 2008's The Incredible Hulk. This also ensured that Marvel Studios could use Hulk in "future multicharacter films," beginning with The Avengers in 2012 and continuing on to Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). At the same time, Universal retains "the right of first refusal to distribute any future solo Hulk movies," which accounts for the lack of a second Hulk solo movie in the MCU.

Thank you.

The mouse is playing 3 Dimensional chess and right now the hulk is a pawn and Spiderman is a Bishops/Rook combo. Way more useful and variable when it comes to income revenue.
