dude- even the worst of these - are many levels better than almost everything else...
Not arguing that
Some people hate the wire - period and can make valid arguments why based on storytelling and plot devices. I don't agree but I understand.
I can't say the worst sopranos episode is better than the best Iron fist. (I'm f*cking with you)
That's a useless pointless exercise.
But that is YOUR OPINION
and MY OPINION
And we agree on that I was just making a point of every one having their own measure.
I can defend my point without bias (which is absolutely no fun)
We brothers we respect each other
I know your brilliance
You actually ask my view point and respect it
And we can disagree joke etc
You UNDERSTAND art is completely and utterly subjective
Which makes everyone feel like their an expert
But at the same time 90% of the audience is completely unqualified to really critique this stuff beyond " I like I hate"
And that's OK too
But to watch something you hate before you see it?
And then continue to complain about it?
is insane and sad.
Especially when they go the lazy route of using their own prejudices and insecurities with it.
That ain't what you doing.
When I used to read a manuscript I didn't care if the writer or characters were gay.
Did you hit your mark? Did I feel anything? Did I enjoy the ride? Did it make sense? Was it honest? Was I challenged?
So you gotta go thru ALL THAT FIRST with me before I land on why are there no black men in this?
If I even notice.
