Well HE needs to start at home.
HE needs to make better movies
HIRE all those actors he THINKS are not getting enough shine or material to shine
SUPPORT more black creatives behind and in front of the camera
because MARVEL does.
Do not TALK about it
BE ABOUT it.
He's only making 1 more and he's retiring.
He has a series coming but 1 more movie and he's done. He wants to go out while he's still good before he falls off.

It was alright, kind of silly. That xmas special was garbage.

Hardcore fans play an initial role in getting something adapted to film, but they're not enough to make it profitable. Changes are made because not everything comes off well on-screen and you have to appeal to the masses.Yeah, I went back that far just because of the success of those films. But my point still stands, because all this nonsense didn't happen until recently. While things would be altered, source material was respected a lot more until the last decade. Because fandom is the only fucking reason Iron Man existed. Now it's fuck fandom.
How toxic would BGOL get if Marvel made blade an asian woman, made blade gay, or made blade a secondary character in his own fucking movie just to push a woman? 20 pages with database errors.Meanwhile, Marvel would be on twitter tell 'cis' black men to kick rocks and claiming any criticism cats had was 'review bombing', homophobic, or whatever.
Yeah racists/sexists out there in the fandom, but hard to tell who is who(outside blatant slurs) when weirdos are twisting source material. Because we will have to merge threads when they fuck over a black male character. And the way things going, that day is coming sooner than you think. And yeah, I'm going to be toxic as hell.
Mackie is spot on about fans. Marvel is losing touch with what brought them success. The ability to satisfy fans who built the fucking source material while adapting source material for film. We don't even get any of this if they pulled what they pulling now with the first Iron man.
As far as the MCU shows, I like:Please don't say that. I just got Disney+ for the first time ever to watch it and the rest of the Marvel shows because it was 3 bucks per month with the 2 dollar hulu deal.

For instance, It's been over 20 years and we haven't seen another Spawn film. Todd NcFarlane, the creator of Spawn, was involved so it adhered closely to the source. It just wasn't appealing to a wide-enough audience.
Blade was less well-known than Spawn. I only knew of the character because of the Spider-Man cartoon. Source material didn't really matter there. As for Superman, he's been changing since his debut. He couldn't even fly originally and then they gave him all kinds of powers in the 50s. As long you make him an alien who wears a cape, trunks, tights, and can fly, that's all that people care about.
Unless these fanboys get together and crowd-fund their own films -- they'll never make enough to afford the budget of a typical MCU film which is like the GDP of a small country -- then they have to be happy with what the big studios put out. The studios want asses in the seats, they always have. The "go woke and go broke" mantra hasn't held up like right-wingers claim so look for more diversity in superhero films.
That xmas special was garbage.
And Universal hasn't done shit with Namor and I believe they've had the rights since the 90s.Universal and Sony will never, ever give up Namor, Hulk and Spider-Man full movie rights...![]()
Never say never. It was a time when people said Fox would never give up X-men and Fantastic Four. Side note I guess that's why they made the Latino Namoor and not the Asian looking Namor.Universal and Sony will never, ever give up Namor, Hulk and Spider-Man full movie rights...![]()

Ironic considering Wakanda is a completely fictional country. It's hard to tell which African country its even based on if any. With Gotham, for instance, it's obvious it's based on NYC.The change gave Namor more of a real world cultural connection unlike DC and their fake cities (Atlantis, Gotham, Smallville, etc...)

Was it supposed to be? Drinking in a bar and getting drunk is supposed to be for the kids hun? I understand what a standalone Christmas special is. I called it garbage because the jokes were recycled, felt forced and barely contributed to the upcoming storylines which could encourage a re-watch. Now we know how Disney+ lost a Billion in a quarter.Wasn’t it a parody of the Star Wars one? So it was supposed to be garbage and for kids. Are you 12 years old homie? It ain’t for you. You know that right?
You know you watching the Disney Channel right?

....and no, I'm watching Disney+ not the Disney Channel.
+ whatever content they want to add (including adult)Disney + is Disney Channel +
Well, it sure is funny how things are playing out now. With the studios shitting on 'hardcore' fans, shit is not going well at all. That is undeniable. You mention Spawn and Blade from over 2 decades ago and then diversity. As if diversity wasn't there otherwise you couldn't even mention those movies.Hardcore fans play an initial role in getting something adapted to film, but they're not enough to make it profitable.
