Hollywood has been making movies from books for over the past 100 years.

damnit....i cant stay away from these clips
So, he's saying he doesn't want a comic book character to be his "legacy" and you're saying he's just going to play another comic book character for a different company. Hmm.Nah ...he's stepping into the new DCEU. He'll be cast as Darkseid....or Bane.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but Hugh Jackman turned out to be a poor choice to play Wolverine. He was good in the very first X-Men and Logan films because the character was truly gritty but all of the other appearances the character was way too GQ for Wolverine.
He turned Wolverine into a metrosexual, pretty boy for the ladies and abandoned the hairy, disheveled, bad-tempered character he's supposed to be.
?What's that you were saying???![]()
I hated that they took away Wolverine's short stature away from him. That was a huge part of his characterization too. This may be an unpopular opinion, but Hugh Jackman turned out to be a poor choice to play Wolverine. Yeah, and I posted that weeks before he said it.That man said he ain't playin' Bane.
I agree but a 5'3" superhero may not work in a live action film. He'll look like a brolic Danny Devito.I hated that they took away Wolverine's short stature away from him. That was a huge part of his characterization too.
That is a part of his character though. The little hairy brolic dude that no one expects to shred folks to pieces.I agree but a 5'3" superhero may not work in a live action film. He'll look like a brolic Danny Devito.

So would y'all cast an actual short actor or use the same SFX they used in the first Captain America to make an actor of average height look shorter? It'd be interesting to see how they'd pull it off.So many things that they thought wouldn't work.....worked
I would cast someone in the 5'5-5'9 range and use CGI or forced perspective like they did in LOTR. Why couldn't Marvel pull it off now?So would y'all cast an actual short actor or use the same SFX they used in the first Captain America to make an actor of average height look shorter? They did pull it off in Captain America they just made him look skinny too. That said, my biggest problem with Jackman's portrayal was the characterization, personality of the character rather than any physical aspect.I would cast someone in the 5'5-5'9 range and use CGI or forced perspective like they did in LOTR. I agree, Marvel did a decent job in Captain America, but it does look funny now when I go back and see it.They did pull it off in Captain America they just made him look skinny too.
