No it means evolution in design made what was in that bill outdated. Ironically some of the items specified in the bill do absolutely nothing to the gun's capability to shoot. Items like collapsible stocks or pistol grips, etc... are for ergonomics and comfort. The action itself hasn't changed nor are they affected by any of the items listed.
So you don't think those design changes had anything to do with skirting those restrictions? You are so transparent guy.
Since you seem to know it all, explain to all of us how something like a collapsible stock or a pistol grip makes a firearm more dangerous?

Argue with the statistics. That bill was a response to 3 mass shootings in the 80s and early 90s. The stats show that mass shootings were much lower when it was in effect.
I don't care about the technical aspect of guns. That shit bores me. I'd rather collect postage stamps. The point is gun violence went down when it passed.

It wasn't even a local officer that took out the shooter. It was an off duty border patrol agent, doing what needed to be done.
