I know someone that lives in that development. Surprised they haven't posted it on Social Media. That is right around the corner from me. This bullshit keeps getting close. Strap up!
Those animals are everywhere now. This shit isnt about “corners” and making money. It’s about internet clout and the bullshit opps culture. These idiots really think they’re playing Fortinite in real life. These idiots should be given 20 - 30 years minimum if no one died and life if the person died with no chance of parole.couldn't pay me to live over there with these animals running around.

That's wildThis was the top story on the local news immediately after the NBA In-Season Tournament Final last night:
2nd business leaving H Street Corridor in a month, community leaders working to slow trend
The Pursuit Wine Bar & Kitchen on the H Street Corridor announced it will shut its doors, marking the second business to leave the community in the last month.wjla.com

The Pursuit Wine Bar & Kitchen had been burglarized five times in just the span of five months, starting in May 2023.
This announcement comes less than a month after Brine Oyster and Seafood House announced they were closing both of their restaurants: one on the H Street Corridor and the other in Dupont Circle.
That's wild
I feel very safe in DC and my instinct is to reject crime hysteria (as I think is clear from my commentary in this thread)...
But I'm coming to the conclusion that something has to be done about the robberies. Giving thought to the smartest way to do that.
I've seen it in my community but this example really drove the point home. Five times in five months???
Nah, young, these gotta be mormans or some shit
LMAO WTH damn... I'm fucking flabbergasted
We had the city for the longest and couldn’t do much with it. Times up. I’m ok with the gentrifiers coming in now.
I’d rather see yoga studios and juice bars than liquor stores and payday loan spots.
I don’t know how Washingtonians feel because I wasn’t borned in the city but lived over half my life in DC and the DMV, but if Marion Berry would have stayed mayor, DC would have been and even exceeded how people view ATL.We had the city for the longest and couldn’t do much with it. Yeah my condo by the Costco has doubled since I bought it in 2013. Best investment I ever made, but I’m going to sell that joint next year. Not built to be a landlord even with a property management company lolI have so many friends who inherited homes in the city and sold them quickly and cheaply that have doubled and and some cases tripled in value from when they were sold in the early 2000’s. I pleaded with them to just rent them out but, growing up in the city, we dreamed of the safety of the suburbs. No one told them they would have 2-3 hour daily commutes . SMH

Rhode Island Avenue got a lot of that already which is why I’m not surprised. I saw the change because from 2010 - 2022, I took the train from Rhode Island metro to work everyday.
Had someone argue and say that side of NE is not disreable and I always tell people that part of NE is the most slept on area of DC (may not be the case anymore though).
Ft Lincoln park getting a whole $50 million dollar renovation coming where the old schools use to be.
One of the townhomes? We've been thinking about buying a spot in Ft. Lincoln (been seeing a few on the market). But yeah his side of NE has always been a good spot to live with the exception of a couple of pockets.
Not too far from you. One block outta DC, in Hyattsville. Familiar with the changes but it's still surprising. I'm from Texas Ave, SE. My auntie did my babysitting after school in River Terrace (what I would've argued was slept on 20yrs ago but unfortunately not anymore. Lotta niggas from Uptown done ran to NE. Don't get me started on what's going on currently on Benning Rd. My nephew still in Paradise/Mayfair I go get him constantly he keep me updated on that side.Man where have you been? I live in Brookland, which is less than a 10 min drive from Saratoga & white folks have been living over there for awhile. There are more now because of all the condos that are sprouting up around there, then you add in they've kicked the vast majority of the folks out of those low income spots. They still need to clean up or close that liquor store across Rhode Island ave from Montana Ave. That 7-11 next to the laundromat can be wild at times with all the panhandlers.
