Anybody know how much of D'Antoni's system was implemented with Team USA? It would be huge for Melo and CB to have a leg up on learning the system.
I'm not sure how much, but you can expect Melo to play powerforward and Amare to play center for stretches.

Nuggets are still a playoff team and there is no telling what can happen once the playoffs start. Plus he didn't ask to be traded and he is Denver born and bred and actually wanted to be here.

I disagree. Melo put the Nuggets in a fucked up situation. He let it be known he wasn't coming back. That killed his trade value because niggas were trying to lowball the Nuggets since everyone knew Melo was leaving. That's why it took so long for it to get done. So being that Melo's trade value was hurt by him admitting to want to play for the Knicks and wanted a new contract before the new CBA is in play the Nuggets made out DAMN Good. They can either keep the dudes they got or trade them. GM's around the league are very HIGH on Gallanari. They can get some draft picks or hell just keep him.
Look at what the Cavs and Raptors ended up with and look at what the Nuggets ended up with.
