There was plenty of action in the 2nd episode; its story building! its not gonna be all action or even half action; the why is very important and is clearly needed...

They have already used up two of the six episodes and we still don’t what the stakes are. So “at least” half of this series will be background and exploring Steven. That leaves 3 episodes to discover what the real stakes are, plan how to solve them, try, fail, overcome, and succeed if they follow story structure.

Bro, its really not the hard to see that its going to be renewed for a 2nd season; 2nd episode was good; and in world building, its never gonna be all action; nor should it be; its a very solid start to this TV series...

It doesn't have to be all action. But a series named Moon Knight should actually have the character in it.

And the world building was mostly done in episode 1. If you need 4 episodes of a 6 episode series to build the world, you're doing something wrong.

"Critics were given four out of the six episodes to review, and it’s obvious why. Episode 4 is where Moon Knight finally gets interesting — and harkens back to the comics in ways I won’t spoil here.

Unfortunately, while pacing like that may work for the Netflix binge model, Moon Knight is a weekly release, and fans will need to wait almost a month to reach some form of payoff. Worse, the show doesn’t set-up this twist ahead of time (or offer any other MCU connections to keep the Reddit theories flowing), there may be little to convince fans to keep coming back for more."

i thought we got that the last 2 episodes
we have 2 Egyptian gods of Justice with 2 different philophies going at it

One (the Ethan Hawke Cult) wants to punish ppl for crimes they havent done and her followers are pursuing an end of days/rapture event to judge all the potential sinners and leave paradise afterwards

in opposition you have the god that saved Steve/Marc. He is the God of Vengeance and punishes evil doers after the fact. He is looking to stop the other god because effectively if she wins he has no one to punish. Also Marc/Steve owes him for saving his life and have to follow through or else he'll claim his wife as his avatar

the scarab is effectively a compass to lead to her and potential start judgement day

Agreed. Also, once Marc is done or fails, the Egyptian god wants his wife for the next avatar.

I like that it’s setting things up. I just hate that the Steven character is holding them back. We get it! Him deliberately fucking up everything because he wants his life back is annoying to a degree. Lmao! But, I like the show so far. Ready to see how this plays out though, and will we see the other personality?

It seems like the Marvel shows are pretty polarizing.
I’ve enjoyed all so far but I am a MCU Stan and come into every show with low expectations. remember this is TV, not the movies but MCU has set a high bar (compare these shows the DC/CW shows, Netflix Marvel Shows or the trash Jupiter Legacy)

Ya'll are buggin' This show is really good! If you're looking for non-stop action I hear Michael Bay's got a movie out today that you can check out. Little acting, big action. Just like all the other shows, they're building for the movies.

When I was a kid and tried to read the Moon Knight comics, it was confusing and boring and it was sold to me as Marvel's Batman and as a Batman fan I wanted to punch the person in the face that told me that shyt!

It's been two episodes and they explained the mental disability that Steven has, who Marc is and the deities that are the focal point. You can't just start this character out without all of this backstory.

For what it was I thought Jupiters Legacy was good. Effects were trash and acting was subpar, but it had a Watchmen kind of vibe to it.

The DC/CW shows I have to believe they purposely go for the corny, campy aspect cause no one network can put out shows this bad so frequently! Swamp Thing was Marvel levels good though, but that was the DC streaming service. Constantine was good for its time and ages pretty well. But again that was ABC not CW

It doesn't have to be all action but like BlueCarpet says, two of the 6 episodes spent on Steven bungling is enough. We got ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the back story now. So if this next episode isn't 100% about what is actually happening it's a huge fail. No more Steven bungling.

I mean Steven is gonna have to come out again at some point...I mean the writing isn't THAT good! I said the show is really good, not impeccable! I can't be the only one that can see a shootout happening and Marc gets knocked out and Steven takes control and has to bungle his way out to save him, Layla and the world right?

The 2nd episode ends with what you're asking for
Steven locked away not getting the ability to take over and Marc in Egypt ready to take on the bad guys

I still have no confidence they won't try to have another episode of bungling. The show isn't terrible. I like it, I just wish the pacing was quicker.

...I just said they're gonna shoehorn that in! This is still a Joss Whedon-esque universe. Serious moments are always met with comedic jabs (except for death scenes) so the bungling is a comin'!

It's not bad (so far)

One complaint.

Oscar Isaac (5'7-5'9) is nowhere near Moon Knight's (6'2)comic book height.

Some characters should be casted near their comics character's height.

Hugh Jackman is taller than the original Wolverine.

Hollywood is shot from the waist up! Wesley Snipes isn't as tall as Blade. Tom Cruise is TINY for ANY roles he plays
