This came up in my tubi recommendations after watching the “The Stepmother” films earlier. I watched it last night on the road. The preview clip struck my interest.
It’s a Dark, Crime Drama with some Dark Comedy mixed in. The film tries to take on issues of the time dealing with race, class, culture, sexism and other controversial subject matter for the time period this film came out.
The film starts off strong and interesting for the first 20 minutes, but after that it completely steers out into left field, upper deck and nose bleed section. I was somewhat lost with what was presented. The movie somewhat got away from what it could have been to a degree. I might have to rewatch it.
For The InCells, there is a graphic rape scene between a BM/WW, female nudity is shown.
Overall, it’s an interesting film, it could have been better if it had focused on the primary plot. The film was originally titled “Housewife”, I do not know why they changed it.
Synopsis
A potential rapist (Yaphet Kotto) enters a Beverly Hills home and sends the husband (Andrew Duggan) to the bank while he stays with the wife (Joyce Van Patten).
