That movie is like if King Kong and Godzilla joined the avengers, it's enjoyable
I just finished watching that new Jennifer Lopez flick (ATLAS)
It's not necessarily a great film
But not as bad as the reviews on IMDB.com
I know some people just don't like Jennifer Lopez' acting, LOL
But its actually a decent, enjoyable sci-fi movie, produced by Netflix
The plot is kind of similar to I-Robot (with Will Smith), but with a female actress instead
It just came out a few days ago
Might be worth a look, if you don't have anything else to do.....

The first 30 minutes are kind of slow, because they are building the story up
But the movie does get better, once she goes to that other planet

Some of the back & forth banter was actually kind of "witty"
The movie gets a little better as it goes on

Sure ... they would have been big anywhere.
But that one-two punch of Barbenheimer dominating the summer months at the box office was special.
Lots of people who aren't even the biggest movie buffs were doing double features with friends and/or family because they knew these 2 were guaranteed to be amongst the biggest releases of the year, and certified water cooler talk.
Whereas on streamers ... people take their time with stuff and get around to it when they can. Hell ... The Office and Suits became massive hits years later, lol. Whereas plenty of people were like - "Shit, that's old news. I watched that a LONG time ago."

I'm not a big movie theater guy but the last few I went too? Empty theatres.
IF was the only one that was packed.
I think it’s just fatigue in general.
People can’t keep up with all the “stuff”.
Even for so many of us who try to stay current with tv, music, movies, and so on.
We stay in the loop and know we are only caught up with less than 2% of what’s out there, if that, haha.
But they want this Deadpool
They loved the Apes and Godzilla
And apparently love Garfield?!!
I thought they LOVED Ryan Gosling? Not so much

IF did well considering, so did Zendaya tennis movie.
People shouldn't forget Monkey Man original IP did well too.
You really cannot predict these audiences.
