Anybody in here sold on 2k19 yet?

Need more gameplay for me to decide

But I'll probably give in
I'm always on the fence with 2k because I like that you can edit just about everything on the game to make it play realistically, but I feel like over the past few years they haven't really done much to improve the game. I hate how players slide across the floor. With that said......I may get a copy on black Friday :dunno:

Yeah I buy a new hoops every year. I've been doing that since EA Sports Bulls Vs Blazers.
They've fixed the blow by cheese so it can be contained. Fix the zig zag cheese. Hopefully My Team is improved. They need to fix the body types next year. Were graphically maxed maxed out this console generation.

Definitely need more gameplay. Still a roster update right now.

I don't believe shit 2K say. I need to see the shit with my own two eyes.

Me being a defensive type of guy, all this shit they're saying about fixing shit like clipping and blow-bys sounds good, but I just can't take their word for shit.

They had the Youtube cats play the game early and I still saw some gameplay fuckery I did not like.

My biggest gripe with 18 was the steal system. Where no matter how you timed it or what part of your body goes thru the ball, if you somehow poked the ball loose without fouling, it wouldn't become a true loose ball, but rather it would trigger an animation where the ball handler is trying to recover the ball and still dribble and the defender would RARELY end up with the ball.

I remember I played a park game and I was defending a guard and on one possession I must've poked the ball loose about 3-4 times and the dude recovered the ball every time and he still had enough energy to make a 3 in my face. They would not give me that steal for shit. It wasn't possible for me to play better defense on that nigga.

If I see that in any gameplay, NBA 2K19 will be a Cyber Monday purchase for me.

The poke the ball system was good in 2K17 but it was too easy to exploit. If you don't protect the ball you could knock the ball up a good bit of the time. Hopefully what Chris Smoove said about the stealing system is better this year. Majority of the steals in 2K18 came from collision detection and not swipes.
