NBA 2K19 (They Will Know Your Name) 9/7/18
Anyone played the demo yet?
I've played it. It's an adjustment in controls and seeing different animations. It's worth giving it a shot.
Played a little bit.
Looks pretty, but it's still not where it needs to be as far as gameplay.
I tried to play it.

Started Friday Night around 4am. (Figured I would try to download it during 'off peak' hours.)
Sheeeiiit... that didn't work... The demo did not finish downloading until around 8 or 9am this morning.
- But the 'create-a-player' mode was excellent, tho.
- And the Gameface Companion App worked flawlessly & very quickly.
- And there were lots of (different) hairstyles to choose from.
However, once I finished making my character... I couldn't find a game mode that allowed me to just play by myself, against the CPU only.
Felt like the Demo FORCED me to play 'online' with other gamers. But the main problem with that is... THE EA SERVERS ARE LAGGY AS HELL RIGHT NOW.
They feel like 2K servers, on Day 1. Everything was delayed by at least 3 or 4 seconds.... so I quit after just a few minutes.
Game was just unplayable, for me. Because of ‘Frame dropping’ from the overcrowded servers.
My guy was running down court... then a pause in the action... then a few frames skip... and suddenly he’s almost at the baseline... and apparently somebody passed it to me... so I try to just pass the ball to someone else... and watch my player do a spin move that I never even input
... then another long pause... and a few more frames skip... and the next thing I see is everyone running back down the court, in the other direction. Ssshhhheeeeeiiiittt... I don’t even know if there was a turnover, or if a shot went up. 
I couldn’t take it. I bailed out. Restarted my PS4. Restarted my Modem. Tried to play it like 2x more times... but had the same results.
Hell, I'm not even gonna attempt to ‘try' again. (unless I can figure out which mode does not involve other humans, whatsoever.
)I play DCUO & other MMOs and their servers work flawlessly... But playing online with this EA NBA Live 19... and all the NBA 2K Games... is an absolute nightmare, for me.
At this point, I can't call it.
I dunno 'how good' the gameplay is... or 'how bad' it is.
Or if it was an improvement from last year. But I liked what I saw, as far as 'creating-a-player' goes.

Yeah, I was ready to uninstall it after the 2nd game. Tried two more games late Sat night and it still wasn't cutting it. My dude was out there doing shit late then a mug. Everybody was hitting their shots and getting to the basket. Every shot bounced on the rim like 3-4 times before it went in. The niggas I was playing with wasn't even kicking the rock. Out of 4 games, I might've got the ball twice. I might as well had watched a Youtube video.
Fuck, I really needed Live to come thru this year, man.
I'mma have to concede and get 2K19 because I damn sure ain't going back to 2K18. I uninstalled that shit a month ago.
And 2K already on the fuck shit bringing back shit into the game that they should've never took out, and acting like they're new features. "This year, you can skip cutscenes!"
And they already backtracking on shit they said about chilling on the VC prices and the microtransactions because it still costs about 200k VC to get your MP dude to 85, which is like 60 dollars.
So yeah, another year of fuck shit.
I like it...but I want to see 2k this year. I know I not buying in VC this year....I am tired of that hustle...I spent like 20 bucks and myplayer was a 80...
Yeah, I was good with spending an extra 20 for VC, but this year, not gone happen.
I'll be on whatever VC glitches is out in the first week. I'll be grinding those before I even try to grind for the badges.
And lowkey, I might not even give a damn about the overall. Overall didn't mean shit last year. And the rewards was trash.
I played with a 99 nigga in Pr0-Am, and 2K got this nigga with the shiny graphics, looking like he got dipped in butter, I'm thinking this nigga bout to be Lebron Jordan Chamberlain or some shit, kicked him the ball a few times. This nigga was SO trash, he was trying to do all that MyCareer cheese against other players and it wasn't working and he wouldn't let up.
I had to hit the nigga up after we took the L like "thank you for showing me being a 99 ain't shit, because you was still a bum. 99 just means you grind tf outta MyCareer. I'll never grind for that shit again."
I played t just now. Skipped all that player creation cyberface madness to just play the game.
It’s ok....I like how the players seem to actually have on sneakers that grip the floor. Makes player movements look more real. Other than that gameplay is too arcadish for me.
Big improvement on presentation. Looks like they finally made the court bigger as well
