Netflix: Stranger Things Official Season 4 Discussion (Drops 4/28/22) (Season 4 Vol2 Trailer 6/21/2022)

Stranger Things 4 is officially a go at Netflix. The streaming network announced on Monday a formal green light for the fourth installment of its sci-fi smash from creators Matt and Ross Duffer. Not so coincidentally, Netflix has also signed the Duffer Brothers to a multiyear deal to make movies and TV shows. While there’s no official word on when Stranger Things 4 will debut, given the production realities of the big-budget epic, the next installment will almost certainly not arrive until 2021 at the earliest. But Netflix and the Duffers are offering a clue about the new season, hinting in a renewal-announcement video that the show will be headed beyond Hawkins.
Most of the 35-second clip released Monday is a slow-motion reveal of the show’s logo set against audio of its iconic theme, but the last few seconds tease where the show is (literally) going: “We’re Not in Hawkins Anymore.” This appears to confirm what the Duffer Brothers teased after season three’s release this summer. “I think the biggest thing that’s going to happen is it’s going to open up a little bit, not necessarily in terms of scale, in terms of special effects, but open up in terms of allowing plotlines into areas outside of Hawkins,” Matt Duffer told EW in July.
Monday’s announcement didn’t label season four as the show’s last chapter the way recent renewal and premiere date announcements for GLOW and BoJack Horseman have been tagged with finale language. This doesn’t mean Stranger Things 4 won’t mark the end, but as of now, it doesn’t appear as if it’s being planned as such. As for the Duffers, their new Netflix pact will let the duo expand beyond the Stranger Things universe both with projects they directly create and, potentially, by collaborating with other writers and directors. “We can’t wait to see what The Duffer Brothers have in store when they step outside the world of The Upside Down,” Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said in a statement released Monday. The brothers, meanwhile, thanked Netflix execs for taking “a huge chance on us and our show … We can’t wait to tell many more stories together — beginning, of course, with a return trip to Hawkins!”

The spookiest month of the year has finally arrived. As such, it’s only fitting that the scariest show on TV would announce that it’s ready to make a comeback. On October 1, Netflix teased via social media that the beloved and highly popular sci-fi horror anthology Stranger Things had resumed production on its fourth season. “Meanwhile in the upside down…” reads a tweet from Stranger Things official Twitter account, accompanied by a clapboard house and grandfather clock. When the series will be available for consumption is still unknown, but rest assured that Millie Bobby Brown is swapping out her Enola Holmes corsets for some ’80s leg warmers on a COVID-proof Netflix set at this very moment. The shows creators, The Duffer Brothers, previously hinted that season 4 would extend beyond Hawkins, Indiana, ending their renewal teaser with the cryptic phrase “We’re Not in Hawkins Anymore.” Leaving Hawkins is all well and good, but after the year we’ve had Stranger Things 4 has its work cut out for it trying to come up with anything as scary as 2020. A trip to the upside down sounds positively divine right about now.

But very solid family action movie

This. I thought the writers did a good job of not letting the Sherlock character overpower Enola. The plot was family friendly but not overly cheesy. Loved the 4th wall breaks. Looking forward to the next one.

Many and i mean many specifically disliked the reduced role of sherlock
But this was not a sherlock story
It was a enola story
They also must have never the books.
I understand they wanted maybe a COOLER sherlock yeah ok i get that but it was a tightrope
Cavill could have easily dominated that movie
It was more important to establish the lead
Again the movie isn't perfect by any measure and yes they needed to make the scenes Cavill DID have much stronger
But that young woman OWNED that role the movie wasn't cheap it was family friendly and built a foundation for a franchise

Why is Lucas and his sister at the end in the first place. They've been there since the beginning but they put Max in the center. Atleast,put Lucas near the center.
