I was surprised by this KG take-- Not sure I agree the Suns are or should be Booker's team and definitely find the "it's time for them to be spot up" take dubious.

Ahead of the newest episode of Ticket & The Truth that’s dropping Monday, Showtime released a clip of Garnett and Paul Pierce discussing the two all-time greats and Garnett thinks their time as ball-demanding stars on the floor should come to an end.

“LeBron and KD—it’s time for them to be spot up,” Garnett told Pierce. “We done gave the ball to them for, like, ages. This is 20 years where I gave them the ball, telling them … can they play off the ball once? Can they go in the corner and now someone make a play, make it for them to get a free shot?”

@therealjondoe -- I was amazed at one name on this list:

I honestly wouldn't question it if not for your boy being on there but now I put an asterisk on every name after CP3 because that's gotta be partially due to stat inflation, which I think distorts a lot of modern stat comparisons to previous decades. (It was ridiculous how many times last year somebody's statline was the first since Wilt to do something!) But it's still a credit to Herro.

He's good, people just love to hate on him

Loon is underrated for sure

3x champion, non-factor in one but played a role in the second and the third doesn't happen without him.

He was top 15 in rebounds last year, top 5 in offensive rebounds, playing 24 minutes per game. In the playoffs, he was third in rebounding and second in offensive rebounding.

I think Draymond's proclamation was premature but Looney is only 27. I think there's a chance. And if he contributes to two more titles the way he did the last one, he should be a lock. I think it's plausible with one more.

The Lakers and Boston would have no numbers available if every role player should get a retired number

Fair point-- I think the standards should be relative. It could definitely be viewed as contradictory that I'm making the case for a possible Kevon Looney jersey retirement while decrying the Lakers announcement that they'll retire LeBron's number as a disgrace. :) I don't think it is but by my standard in Looney's case-- being essential to multiple titles-- you'd definitely have Derek Fisher's number retired in LA and probably Robert Horry and I agree that would not make sense for the Lakers.
