The center position is obsolete in the US, but it isn't in the rest of the world

We get killed on the boards and they get open second chance points

Position less basketball bs, we’ve been getting man handled down low on rebounds and 2nd chance points…finally biting them in the ass

Yeap...most of the good Big Men in the league are foreign born... besides, AD, Bam or a Zion...

They should have Evan Mobley and Jared Allen on team instead of Cam Johnson and Kessler

JJJ stay in foul trouble...

That was by design. They got America to fall in love with the 3 point shot based off Curry being overpromoted and his team success against the GOAT, now they gone flood the league with foreign skilled bigs to run you niggas out the game.

It actually underscores how terrible his statement was.. The world is sending their best and we are sending our worst and still competing for the gold.
Even if our USA team is terrible but still competing for gold...they're playing other COUNTRIES...not Milwaukee.

FIBA is a world league so if the US wins gold they competed against the other teams around the world...not just teams in North America.

What's so hard to understand about this concept???

And the US produces the best players.. is home to the best league.. which has the world's best players from around the globe.

Best talent. Best league. Best competition in the world.

What's so hard to understand about this concept?

All that is great...but that league compromises various teams from cities in north America not around the world. The US and city in Canada does not the world make.

In fact many of those international players come Olympic time end up playing for their own countries. You know to compete in true international competition.

Rich Paul on LeBron being the most covered athlete of all time. No NBA player ever carried an offseason news cycle before LeBron.

Rich Paul pushes back on Miami Heat fans and media's "LeBron needed us to be great" agenda.

Jimmy Butler at the US Open with the Prince of Reggaeton Colombian artist J Balvin. This is Heat culture, and why Jimmy appeals to his market more than LeBron did. What you look like, what your family looks like, and how you move matters in a corporate structure like the NBA, basketball is irrelevant.

Right.. and if they play in their own countries during Olympic play, and STILL get they ass kicked at a 95% clip by Americans.. then the implication that USA basketball is the best is solidified once again. The context isnt that NBA champs have beat the entire globe.. Its that they play the highest level of the sport, thus the NBA championship game determines who the elite of the elite are. And that isnt debatable.

Further, the bigger point is why on earth would one go to the global stage and use that as the hill to die on, on some unprovoked culture clash honkey bullshit.

The Olympics is INTERNATIONAL competition.. Spain vs Denmark

FIBA is INTERNATIONAL competition... Nigeria vs Morocco

The NBA is NATIONAL LEAGUE....Hell it says it in the damn initials! NATIONAL Basketball Association.

And your using the term USA basketball loosely....are you talking about TEAM USA who competes in INTERNATIONAL games or the NBA...the national level league based in the United States??

Lyles was very specific in his point...

"NBA players using the title of "world champion" after winning the NBA Finals.

"You know what hurts me the most is that I have to watch the NBA Finals and they have 'world champion' on their head. World champion of what? The United States?"

He's being very specific about his observation...he's not talking about the Olympic team or the FIBA team..or "team USA"

he's saying how is MIAMI (a city in AMERICA) vs DENVER (a city in AMERICA) a world championship level game???

And DONT bring up Nikola Jokic as if thats a difference...its not and you know it.

My analogy in the thread on this was that an NBA city beating another NBA city and proclaiming itself "World Champs" is like a food truck owner hanging a banner that says "WORLD'S BEST FOOD" and then when you point to restaurants with objectively superior food (top international teams), they start raving like the Soup Nazi about how they beat all the other food trucks in the country.

Warriors Owner Reveals Truth About Draymond Green vs. Jordan Poole

The Golden State Warriors did not trade Jordan Poole solely because of Draymond Green

In this story:

Golden State Warriors

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
While many have speculated that the Draymond Green vs. Jordan Poole dynamic was a significant factor in the Golden State Warriors deciding to swap the young guard for Chris Paul, Warriors owner Joe Lacob recently revealed the truth about that situation.
Speaking with 95.7 The Game, Lacob said, "I don't wanna say absolutely that's true. I think it's fair to say that there was some level of concern going forward, whether that was going to be something that would work out. To be honest with you, I think it would have worked out and could have worked out. But I think it is fair to say that in order to make the team work next year, to make the numbers work and so on, someone probably was gonna be the odd man out. It just turned out - and it wasn’t planned, that it was Jordan [Poole]."

While Lacob admitted some level of concern about the Green vs. Poole dynamic, he did not single that out as the reason for making the trade. Instead, Lacob was honest in acknowledging the roster crunch that had presented itself as a result of so many players making max or near-max money, which led to somebody becoming the odd man out. That ended up being Poole, which Lacob feels was mostly separate from his relationship with Green.

Lithuania, the team that beat Team USA just got blown out by 19, so white guys like Geechiecuck won't be living thru them anymore. Flat whiteness doesn't produce loyalty.

Team USA beat Italy. Why do white guys only live thru their Euro cousins when they win?
youre a moron who has no idea what the debate is even about....saying TEAM USA beating ITALY only proves my point.

They missed the Semi-Finals in 2019, but the United States are once again a final four team, after cruising to a comfortable 100-63 win over Italy in the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila.

Coach Steve Kerr and his players now wait for the winner of the Germany v Latvia matchup in their part of the bracket.

The FIBA Basketball World Cup is an international basketball competition between the senior men's national teams of the members of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), the sport's global governing body. It takes place every four years and is considered the flagship event of FIBA.[1]

From its inception in 1950 until 2010, the tournament was known as the FIBA World Championship

you know why its called that...read the bold.

fuckin moron
