Nah Jack, my issue is that they put Iverson's statue outside of the 'practice' facility.

Practice. Really

It's bad enough that the larger sport media world won't let go of that damn practice rant, but c'mon Philly. We gotta do better.

The man's best friend was on trial for his life and he was getting grilled about missing a practice, so he went off.

It's like 20 years later and people still laughing their ass les off at A.I. & the concept of practice. As if Iverson didn't ever practice. He was just going thru some real shit at moment.
I hear you. But EVERY SINGLE PLAYER WHO HAS THEIR JERSEY RETIRED BY THE TEAM HAS A STATUE ON LEGENDS WALK. So inevitably his was gonna be there as well. Iverson doesn't have a problem with it and neither should we.

Who is this

I know Amin, but three years later you go back?

My guess is Amin heard about it happening— Phoenix is the team he worked for to get his start— and remembered the old tweet.

I think he just saw it as an opportunity to get attention by resurfacing the guy’s criticism and, in Twitter lingo, dunking on him.

Scenarios to watch out for

There are 15 games on Sunday, 12 of which have playoff implications. Here’s what matters during these dozen matchups:

Eastern Conference

...

Western Conference

Here is what matters in the final slate of games, which tipoff at 3:30 ET.

Nuggets vs. Grizzlies (Watch on NBA League Pass):

  • The Nuggets’ only chance to secure the No. 1 seed is if they win and the Thunder and Wolves both lose. The Nuggets are third in the three-way tiebreaker due to worst combined head-to-head record against the other two teams. Denver can finish second with a win and one (but not both) of Minnesota or Oklahoma City losing. This is the first time that three teams all have the same record (56-25) and all have a shot at the No. 1 seed in a conference going into the final day.
Suns vs. Timberwolves (Watch on NBA League Pass):

  • If the Wolves win this game and either the Thunder or the Nuggets lose, they’ll lock up the No. 1 seed in the West.
  • If the Suns win this game and the Pelicans lose, they will secure the No. 6 seed. If not, the Suns are No. 7 and Play-In Tournament bound.
Lakers vs. Pelicans (Watch on ESPN):

  • If the Lakers win this game, they secure the No. 8 seed and will face either the Suns or the Pelicans in the Play-In Tournament. However, if they lose this game, they can still secure the No. 8 seed if the Kings and Warriors both lose. Otherwise, the Lakers could fall to No. 9 or No. 10.
  • The Pelicans look to stay out of the Play-In Tournament and secure the No. 6 seed with a win. If they lose this game, their only remaining shot to lock up sixth is if the Timberwolves win.
Mavericks vs. Thunder (Watch on NBA League Pass):

  • The Mavs are locked into the No. 5 seed and will face the No. 4 Clippers in the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs.
  • Because the Thunder win the three-way tie over the Timberwolves and Nuggets due to combined head-to-head win-loss record between them, they can clinch the No. 1 seed if all three teams win, if all three teams lose OR with a win and a Timberwolves loss.
Jazz vs. Warriors (Watch on NBA League Pass):

  • The only way for the Warriors to secure the No. 8 seed is win this game and for the Kings and Lakers to both lose. If the Warriors lose this game, they are locked into the No. 10 spot in the Play-In Tournament. If the Warriors win this game and either the Kings or Lakers lose, they’ll get to the No. 9 seed.
Blazers vs. Kings (Watch on NBA League Pass):

  • The Kings’ only chance to reach the No. 8 seed is to win this game and for the Lakers to lose. If the Kings lose this game, they could fall to the No. 9 seed in the Play-In Tournament or even No. 10 if the Warriors also win.

Thunder should beat the Mavs since the Mavs have no incentive to compete.

So the Thunder are going to be the #1 seed.

I think the most likely outcome is 1 Thunder 2 Wolves 3 Nuggets...

That makes me feel better about the Warriors being #8 if they get in... (as the 9/10 winner will ultimately compete for the 8th slot)

No play-in team will have to worry about the defending champs in the first round...

I have a feeling that the Blazers beating the Kings is realistic... No stakes for the team but the individual players on the Blazers are playing for their future, gave the Warriors a tough game recently...

I think the Pelicans are going to beat the Lakers.

The Magic actually adopted a new offensive strategy for once. When the shots aren't falling, play defense, force turnovers, get out in transition and RUN.
