Fight was very floyd-ish. Not in style but in dominance! Fights that leading up to the fight, some people thought it was going to be a good fight (ie. Floyd/Manny, Floyd/Alvarez, Floyd/Shane), yet he ended up completely dominating them... Easy work for Crawford... Dude is definitely top 3 pfp right now, and I'd argue him over Ward actually...

Top Rank needs to go ahead and cash Manny Pacquiao out against Bud. They already know it's an automatic loss. Pacquiao will fight a soft touch in Novemeber, then they'll throw him in there with Crawford for a "passing of the torch" fight.

According to Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, he spoke with eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao and the Filipino superstar has agreed to fight Terence Crawford, who holds the WBO junior welterweight world title.

On Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Crawford (28-0, 20KOs) will have the biggest fight of his career in a unification against WBC champion Viktor Postol (28-0, 12KOs).

It will be Crawford's first headliner on HBO Pay-Per-View. To pursue a full-time career in politics, Pacquiao retired from the sport in April after winning a twelve round decision over Timothy Bradley in a trilogy fight. He then won a senatorial seat back home in the Philippines in May.

Top Rank has set aside November 5th at Las Vegas' Thomas & Mack Center for Pacquiao's return. They wanted him to fight in October, but the fight was pushed back after a conflict with Pacquiao's political schedule.

A few days ago, Pacquiao's adviser, Michael Koncz, had stated in an interview that Crawford was never going to be an option for Pacquiao's planned return.

Arum has spoke to Pacquiao directly and says there are no issues with making a deal. "I've talked to Manny and he is willing to give [Terence the] opportunity," said Arum to ESPN Deportes. "But first Terence has an important commitment to fulfill before he can receive [that opportunity]. Manny has already said yes." "We had scheduled his fight for October 15th at the Mandalay Bay.

But we were informed that wasn't possible because Manny had to attend, on the week of October 15, a budget meeting with the senate." Arum said Crawford "has the tools to be" a superstar in the sport.

Crawford already said he would fight Manny at 140, so there is your built in excuse. But I do agree with you. He'll fight Vargas first to build up his esteem then get sacrificed to Crawford.

I wonder if there were any links to downloading the fight before I comment. How to work last night and wasn't going to pay for it.

Paulie Malignaggi vs. Gabriel Bracero results
July 30th, 2016

By Dan Ambrose: Former two division world champion Paulie Malignaggi (36-7, 7 KOs) showed that he still has a little left in the tank tonight in dominating Gabriel Bracero (24-3, 5 KOs) in beating him by a one-sided 10 round unanimous decision on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The final judge’s sores were 96-94, 98-92 and 98-92.

Malignaggi used his jab exclusively to box the 35-year-old Bracero’s head off for 10 rounds. Malignaggi was able to use a lot of feints to keep Bracero off balance through the entire fight. It was embarrassingly easy.

Despite winning the fight, Malignaggi looked slow and not the same fighter he’d been in the past. Malignaggi looked rusty, which isn’t surprising because he’s not been fighting high caliber opposition since last year.

Malignaggi is thinking of trying to drain down to the lightweight division to see if he can compete against the top lightweights. It’s possible if he lose the weight without being weakened. He has the skills to beat a lot of the guys even when rusty like he was tonight. The main question is whether Malignaggi can lose the weight. If can, then his success will be determined on whether he winds up weight drained from the process of losing weight. Malignaggi has been fighting at welterweight for the last five years, and it’ll be hard to get down to 135.

In other results on the card, lightweight Tevin Farmer (22-4-1, 5 KOs) defeated the always tough Ivan Redkach (19-2-1, 15 KOs) by a 10 round unanimous decision. The final judges’ scores were 99-89, 98-90 and 98-90. Farmer lost a point for a punch below the border in the 8th. In the 9th, Redkach lost a point for a clash of heads. This was a surprise loss for Redkach, as he came into the fight as the favorite to win. But he not only was beaten, but totally dominated as wel
