in the very first episode they addressed this. they said looking into his face is like looking into pure light.
we can't see that (obviously budget reasons). but that is what the characters on the show see.

They said that regarding his face... but not his Build. If that was true them not being able to see his build... it wouldn't have been mentioned so many times about how he his costume stands out with all the lights on it.

I think with Supes it’s also his demeanor! At least in the comics! He’s a bumbling, clumsy goof that you wouldn’t even expect to be Superman! Jefferson no so much cause he doesn’t give off that vibe but with running the school and all the community projects he has going on... guess it’s like with anything in plain site, gotta bring ass to get ass
