I’m back and I must say that I’m highly disappointed at Post Crisis black lightning. The shit makes no sense now...

And other than the Lady Eve bit.. Crisis had little effect on Freeland .. which again makes zero sense

Is that because nobody had their memory restored other then Jen and Jefferson?

And Lady Eve is coming back, looks like.

It just doesn't make sense.... A.S.A. creating Metahumans with a drug...doesn't make sense in a world that is now combined with the other superhero shows.. The shit going down in Freeland just doesn't make sense...

Freeland is under occupation
Black lightning has time to visit Oliver's funeral and sit down at a table with a group of Superfriends.. including Supergirl and the man just leaves without telling anyone that Freeland is currently being occupied. From a tv perspective it makes sense.. you don't want to change what you are building, but after the events of Crisis.. Shit has to change. They barely acknowledged anything changed..

While there were huge changes in the other Arrowverse shows... Batwoman is like a fucking celebrity, Supergirl's world is completely different now... We know Arrow and Flash are doing episodes directly talking about the changes from Crisis and in Black Lighting it's still the same.

I feel like they could have still kept the same story... while directly bringing up changes..

Like someone casually mentioning that A.S.A. is a black unit operating within ARGUS that directly talks to the president and the Director of ARGUS has no idea that it exists. Shit like that.

A lot has happened since we last checked in with Black Lightning — namely, “Crisis on Infinite Earths.” As this episode begins, Black Lightning is ecstatic over his experience saving the multiverse alongside the other CW heroes. “Superman is real!” He excitedly tells Gambi over their radio when he makes it back to Freeland, but there’s no response.
When Jefferson Pierce was last in Freeland, the sky had turned red and everyone was freaking out — but no one remembers that now. After he reunites with Jennifer, it becomes clear that they are the only two people who even vaguely remember the events of “Crisis.” Gambi doesn’t remember either of them ever leaving. Since Freeland is still beset by a whole host of its own problems, “Crisis” discussion is tabled for now, and it’s back to business as usual.
Lynn’s Green Light addiction has been bubbling in the background of Black Lightning ever since we first learned that Agent Odell had her things spiked with the extremely addictive drug, but now it is an unavoidable problem. When Jennifer walks into her mom’s lab, the slight surprise is enough to get Lynn to drop her last sample of Green Light — which causes her to melt down in absolutely hysterical fashion at Jennifer. If this outburst seems out-of-character to you, well, it does to Jennifer as well. She calls her dad and tells him to talk to her mom, which he does in a pretty intense scene. Having worked with troubled kids, Jefferson Pierce knows addiction when he sees it, and isn’t accepting any of Lynn’s crazed justifications. Her frantic physicality is a little harder to deal with, culminating in her full on slapping him when he tries to stop her from scooping discarded drugs out of the toilet. Unfortunately Jefferson gets a call from Henderson telling him to suit up and help them rescue some kids, which allows Lynn to flee to who-knows-where.

Before that rescue operation commences, we get another testy exchange between Black Lightning and Blackbird. At this point Jefferson/Anissa arguments feel like such a core component of Black Lightning that it’s hard to imagine them ever going away, but at least there’s some progress in this one. Although Jefferson is still an overprotective dad hung up on his daughter’s past mistakes, Anissa convinces him to let her take the lead. She turns out to be right. At one point during the mission Black Lightning wants to take the group right, while Blackbird orders them left; the right direction turns out to be swarming with ASA soldiers, and Anissa skillfully guides Black Lightning in the best use of his powers to stop them. The sight of Henderson’s cops battling and arresting federal troops, rather than just feigning ignorance, is an interesting dynamic too.
Jennifer, meanwhile, spends most of this episode with her friend Brandon, trying to stop his powers from causing earthquakes. But just as she gets him under control, they both get shot with some kind of knock-out syringe. I’m not usually one to get hung up on whether something is “realistic” or not, but from what I understand, the reason bullets can be shot through glass is that they are made of really hard metal. Shooting a syringe through a window, though? It doesn’t feel like an open needle would survive that impact intact enough to pierce skin. But what do I know? In any case, Jennifer and Brandon aren’t down for long. When they wake up in an ASA truck with control collars around their necks, it doesn’t take Jennifer long to blast them out. She comes face-to-face with Odell and definitively tells him she’s done working for him (inspired by seeing the dark timeline version of herself murder her family on his orders), but when she blasts him with energy, it’s only a hologram. Their final reckoning will have to wait.

Okay, so I'm lost as fuck. I could not stick with Batwoman, never watched Supergirl and figured I'd just grab Black Lightning once the season was over. I don't even know what order to watch them in now. I do have Batwoman up to the Supergirl crossover, after that...I need some help.
What follow who and who follows what?

I feel you but literally once you click the link and then go to shows, they have all the crisis eps in the crisis on infinite earths section. Easy peasy. It gives some context in the opening sequence, but to go back and watch the previous eps isn't necessary.

Well, I appreciate that but it looks like too much work. Unless I had a list of which episodes to watch in which order, I'll pass.

black lighting so far looks to be the only show where nothing happened..

Every other Arrow show has been significantly changed by Crisis and Black Lightning is like Meh.....

What a waste...

yea nothing changed smh. they should have changed something.

It’s a waste... look at Arrows series finale.. Batwomam... and Supergirl... all their shit is different...

Supergirl especially... outside of the Stupid Lena shit.. Supergirl is firing on all Cylinders right now.

Black Lightning had this great opportunity to put some new energy in the show ... hell even the lady Eve shit is wasted.

It makes no gawd damn sense in this new world. None of this shit is making sense now.

I think I’m done fellas..

You gotta remember, BL wasn't always meant to be a part of these shows/events. He was thrown in last minute. DC fucked this up by not including him from jump. So you can't really fault the show for not showing how it was impacted by Crisis, since they already had their stories in place. it's CWs/DCs fault. They probably should have waited until this season of BL was done and then considered having the crossover to merge the Earth's. I'll be honest, I'm enjoying BL way more than any other DC show, Supergirl is second. IMO, Arrow and Flash have fallen off significantly. I'm looking forward to Green lantern though. If DC is smart, they'll find away to get all of their characters on one world (how the fuck do you introduce Doom Patrol on an episode of Titans, and then tell us they are on different worlds).

I hear you fam... but going into this Season... the showrunners of Black Lightning knew what was going to happen. Supergirl has always been on another earth..... and they have taken to this Post Crisis world better then the other shows. Black Lightning went into this season set up in a Way to Change shit after Crisis yet.. Still keep to their same story. Like a Alternate Universe version of lady eve or have A.S.A be part of A.R.G.U.S. ...

Hell look what Batwoman is doing with Beth and Alice.. they didn't change much of the story of Batwoman... but that one simple thing... Having Two Beths on the same world... Has ramped up shit because we know that Oliver's merging of the two worlds could have an impact on the Arrowverse that he didn't consider.

While on Black Lightning... Nothing Happened and it's business as usual. You have to Blame the Showrunner of Black Lightning for this. Their desire to stick to their plan .. hurts the show and is making it less relevant in my opinion. Also .. The fucking acting is just shitty right now.

I wonder if theyre saving the major stuff for the season finale..what if they bring in Amanda Waller and say her and Odell were working together the entire time..

Remember Black L was a very late addition to crisis, so the show did not have time to create a storyline
