Interesting.

I was thinking about the chick in She's Gotts Have It that was allegedly up for Monica Rambeau but had a conflict in commitments. I think she's still on Marvel's radar. She's fine as fuck too. So is her lesbian lover on that show.

I knew it!!!!

They were setting this up for a minute bringing him back so soon fleshing out his back story perfectly

It COULD work.

I like him going on missions using his computer brain to access stuff and impersonate othese

when he first showed up on the show, i thought he was a cheesy character, but after a while, they fleshed him out pretty good and he became one of the better characters. I'm down. But what i really i need is some sort of Black Lightning/Lightning/StarGirl crossover. Especially since Jakeem may show up along with Thunderbolt.

A day after announcing a potential Painkiller spin-off starring Jordan Calloway, Black Lightning has made another cast change — and this one has been a long time coming.
EW has learned that Chantal Thuy, who plays Anissa Pierce/Thunder's (Nafessa Williams) girlfriend Grace Choi, has been promoted to series regular for season 4. In other words, this fan-favorite couple — both on the show and in the pages of DC Comics — isn't going anywhere (or so we hope).
Thuy has recurred on the CW superhero drama since the early days of season 1. Although she was initially introduced as a normal bartender, we (and Anissa) eventually learned she was a metahuman with shape-shifting abilities. At first, Grace tried running away from both her powers and Anissa, but the couple eventually reunited and moved in together in season 3. Now, she not only knows that Anissa's father Jefferson (Cress Williams) is Freeland's hero Black Lightning, but she also fought alongside them during the Markovian invasion in the season 3 finale (Although, Thunder had to knock her out when Wayne Brady's Gravedigger briefly brainwashed her — you know, typical superhero relationship problems).

"Chantal Thuy embodies the character of Grace Choi,” said Black Lightning executive producer and showrunner Salim Akil in a statement. “I am sure our Black Lightning fans knew, especially those who follow the Grace and Anissa relationship storyline, that having Chantal join as a series regular was only a matter of time. I am elated to finally welcome her officially to the team."
In addition to Black Lightning, Thuy's credits include guest-starring parts on Madam Secretary, Pretty Little Liars, and Matador.

Yesterday, news broke that the seventh episode of Black Lightning's fourth season would be a backdoor pilot for a spin-off that follows Calloway's Khalil Payne after he leaves Freeland. Here's the official logline for the potential show:

"Khalil Payne (Jordan Calloway) is a young man ridden with the guilt of his troubled past from his former life in Freeland City, where, as a super-enhanced killing machine known as Painkiller, he was both a member of Tobias Whale’s gang and a weapon of Agent Odell and the shadowy ASA. After attempting to bury the darker, devastatingly lethal Painkiller part of his persona, Khalil has distanced himself away from everyone he knows and loves in a new city, Akashic Valley, in order to find peace…but peace never comes easy for men with pasts like Khalil Payne and Painkiller. As his violent, destructive history crashes his idyllic new beginning, Khalil is thrusted back into action with a new mission - bring justice where he once gave out punishment – but to do that, he will first have to deal with and harness his darker side, Painkiller."
Black Lightning returns Monday, Feb. 8 at 9 p.m. on The CW.

Black Lightning star Cress Williams isn't ready to say goodbye to Damon Gupton or Chief Henderson on Black Lightning.
In January, Gupton revealed that he was let go from the CW superhero drama because Henderson wasn't part of the plans for season 4. So, Monday's season 3 finale serves as a swan song for Jefferson Pierce's (Williams) best friend, much to Williams' disappointment.
"I can tell you I'm not happy about it, both from a character and from an acting standpoint," Williams tells EW. "He was one of my favorite people to work with. I think we both love working with each other and always talked about just wanting more and more scenes together."
That being said, Williams doesn't think fans will be disappointed by Gupton's send-off. "It's going to be emotional. It's going to be unexpected. I think without totally giving things away, that's the best I can say. And I hope it frustrates the audience, in a good way," he says.

The season-ender will also bring the Markovia and ASA storyline to a head as Williams' Black Lightning faces off against Wayne Brady's Gravedigger once again. This time around, though, the conflict is even more complicated because Jefferson just learned that the murderous super soldier is actually his great-uncle. Family is very important to Jefferson, so this discovery means a lot to him. Alas, the same can't be said for Gravedigger.
"Unfortunately, Gravedigger really doesn't so much care," says Williams. "The thing is a lot of dramatic things happen, and they happen at such a fast, fast pace. There's not a lot of time to have this sit down heart-to-heart with Gravedigger and go, 'Hey, we're family.' It's kind of being addressed in the middle of just high, high stakes and everything. So, we never fully get to address it."

Even though their big fight scene, which opens the episode, was difficult to shoot and required a lot of waiting around, Williams had fun doing it because it gave him a chance to spend time with Brady.
"It's funny, because pretty much every time me and Wayne are in a scene together, there's always action and effects that are heavy in the scene. Just the way that it's structured, we don't have a scene where we sit down and we have a glass of wine, and we talk. It's always just like action, and so there's a lot of technical stuff that goes on," he says. "So when you're doing stuff like that, there's a lot of waiting. So I think for us, it was just the opportunity to chat here and there, and catch up, and watch him do things for the first time, like work nights and be put on wires, and all the technical things that happen, and watch him experience those for the first time, and chat about that. So it was fun."

Williams also experienced his own first, too. "It's pretty much the first episode I've been in where I've been in my suit and I've been Black Lightning literally the entire episode. I don't think we've ever done that. And so that was the first thing I realized [when I read the script], as far as just the level of action, and the level of just non-stop Black Lightning that was going to be involved."
Black Lightning airs Monday at 9 p.m. on The CW.

this is so fucking true. I can't believe Flash is still on their air, i think i gave up on that show 2 seasons ago. Every other WB show was better than this. I pray HBO Max picks up Black Lightning and adds them to the Titans/Doom Patrol universe, and bring back fucking Swamp Thing. Plus they have a Green Lantern series on the way. Need some more blackness on these shows. At least Stargirl is good.
