I was rooting for PSG, but they didn't do anything(this game) to deserve advancing. I knew Cavani was gonna regret those missed opportunities.

Well I said PSG/Chelsea was going to be a good one. Wish I was able to be home to watch it.

Didn't think Dortmund was going to get so close to knocking out Madrid. Watching the highlights now.....chances they couldn't finish. And why was Di Maria taking the pk to begin with?

Pinolero.....will Barca actually win a game against Athletico? Knowing how they drew all year, they will again and send it to pks

I'll be good with a 2-2 draw, because that way Barca has more away goals.:smh::yes::D

Modric had a good quote today. He said "We need to learn from this game, which is something we keep saying. But it seems like we never learn anything".

:lol::hmm: rooting for psg

The only player I care for on Chelsea is Eto'o, and that's pretty self explanatory.:D

I don't know why they chose a backup with such bad feet, when it's one of their principles. Valdes sometimes has a higher pass percentage than players on the opposing team.

Barca never really had good keepers tho but pinto sucks damn.

Evra being Evra. To his credit, Robben fucked him by passing the ball.

Who knew Guardiola could get him to pass?!?

I was surprised by the Atletico Barca match. Thought the Catalans would get it done.

It's amazing when you consider their budget in comparison to Barca and Madrid. Top of the league and eliminated Barca from Champions(first time Barca doesn't make semi-finals since 2007). Not to mention they won Europa league twice, Copa del Rey(eliminated Madrid) and Supercup twice(Inter and Chelsea).

They also seem to have good strikers despite losing them all the time; Torres, Forlan, Kun, Falcao and now Costa and Villa.

They're like Bilbao in the sense that the resource pool is very limited, but still can find a way to get shit done against the "big boys" of Europe.

The grassroots system in Spain is a marvel that other countries, not only in Europe, but the world, should be looking at with great ferocity.

Kudos to them.

Anyway I can just get a Chelsea/Athleti final? Don't want Madrid or Bayern to get a sniff of the final. Should pull for Madrid since either side could beat them I think but we all know how that will never happen.

I don't want Chelsea doing a double this year, and yet i'd be perfectly satisfied with it.

Go figure.

well...I guess Barca's out of the title race. They fucked up. Props to Pinto for making some great saves to give them a chance to get back in it. He needs to work on his left foot though.

Now Barca is losing to everyone. They've always had trouble with bus-parking, but now any team does it and they have success. Especially with their defense. 86 percent possession and nothing to show for it.

The thing with barca is they only have one style of playing. They need a tall striker for when it's a physical game. Bayern is a good example they can play like barca(tho barca is better) but they can also play physical game if needed.

Chelsea were actually the ones who laid the blueprint down a few years back when Barca were peaking.

Now it's, "stay central... All 11 behind the ball... " Job done.

Not saying I condone it, but at that level, I understand now why teams do it.

It works.

And to Keone's point, that's what makes Bayern really scary, cause they can play like Barca as well, but also grind it out and penetrate bus parking tactics if need be.

Exactly dj. See the thing everybody is saying that parking the bus ain't football(not you just in general) but people forget that football is a strategic game. Put your men a certain way so they can defeat their opponents. That's why mourinhio is mourihinio. They say chelsea was parking the bus but chelsea scored 3 times against barca in those 2 games. Too me that's a team that came with a plan and executed it finely. And I'm not saying this cause I'm a chelsea supporter. When inter Milan won I gave them their credits too. And I don't really like inter. Barca just doesn't know how to grind it out and it's kinda a weak point for a big club like that.

Hey DJ, how will you feel if Liverpool win the title?

At this point, it seems WHEN they win it.

Smh is all I can do. Ferguson made it his life's ambition to dethrone them, and when he does, he retires, and a year later they're right back in it.

But I'm still banking on Shitty or Chelsea to pull off a miracle.
