Origi is trash, that is the reason he is on the bench.
He needs a striker, that same ole tactics ain't gonna win shit.
Just like out Chelsea shut them out playing with 10 men, the result this year will be the same as last year without a striker.
he needs it but he aint going to buy.
they have the cash they could buy haaland
but he prolly wont

i dont think origi is trash he is better finisher than firm but he needs to play consistently

What is going on with the gunners?

They are shooting blanks.

Man City 5 - 0 Arsenal
Problem is at the very top. The owners don't necessarily want to win. Until the owners want to win, they will not put people in place who know how to win. It's not Arteta. It's not Edu. It's the owners. Take the example of Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool. Let's look at Chelsea, for example. Here, Abramovich gave Lampard a chance. Team underperformed, Lampard fired and Tuchel (sp?). We know the rest of the story.

Turning to Arsenal. Arteta, an inexperienced coach in actuality, is allowed to languish. The transfers are mediocre but yet he survives. The owners don't want to win.

For the record, Wenger was 10 years past his sell by date.

Regardless, I'm a North London boy. I came to the states when the name Arsenal was unknown. My family is 4 generations deep as Gooners, and we'll go down with the ship. It is what it is.

chelsea shouldnt have sold zouma but that saul nigez deal is nice one
donnyal malen at dortmund is interesting too
lots of interesting transfers
It’s way too early for Camavinga to play at a bigger club
Money talks, but he just stunted his potential
In 3 years he’ll be playing for Betis on loan

Arsenal is nothing without Wenger, and will never be anything without him. Arsenal supporters have a problem seeing the club for what it really is. The managers and players who would make Arsenal real contenders, will never join.
my Jamaican homie is a goner for life. Over the years I’ve heard this nigga talk about signing Reus (when he was at ‘Gladbach), Dybala and Griezmann, like they were real options. Nigga was talking about Klopp replacing Wenger too.
Arsenal has never had it like that. They need to build a statue for Arsene

they could have went for saul
hell i would have signed bissamou from brighton

Yes, there were moves that could have been made but what really threw me was when I heard that woodchuck was still the exec something or other and in charge of acquiring players. Then it started to make sense because he's a fucking tool who knows jackshit about football.

You need a thumper in midfield because pogba runs hot and cold. You also need pace in midfield because you have pace up front. But my wishlist starts with Süle. I honestly think McGuire is going to fall off and Varane and Süle would be a fantastic CB combo. I know they're drooling over Haaland and that's fine but you need some bangers now because the league is going back to the old days when cats were just beating you up if they couldn't beat you.

PSG's Kylian Mbappe confirms Neymar dispute: I called him a 'tramp'

Kylian Mbappe has opened up about his dispute with Paris Saint-Germain teammate Neymar, saying he called him a "tramp" in the team's 2-0 win over Montpellier last month.
The France international was caught on camera criticising Neymar after he was substituted and said: "This tramp, he never passes to me."

Speaking in an interview with L'Equipe, Mbappe confirmed he said those words but has no issue with the Brazil international.
"Yes, yes, I said it. Now these are things which happen all the time in football. It just needs to be something that doesn't linger," he said. "That's why, right after, given how it blew up, I spoke to him about it.
"We've exchanged a lot of words like that in the past and we'll continue to do so, because we want to win, but there shouldn't be any hard feelings. There is no resentment at all because I respect the player and the man and I admire what he is."
Mbappe also hinted that he is still determined to leave PSG after saying he informed the club of his desire to leave in July amid interest from Real Madrid.
PSG refused to negotiate on a deal for Mbappe in August, despite the 22-year-old having just a year left on his contract. Sources in Madrid previously told ESPN that Madrid made bids of €160m, €180m and finally €200m on Aug. 31 before the transfer window closed.

"I thought that my adventure [with PSG] was over," he added. "I wanted to discover something else. I'd been in the French league six or seven years. I've given what I tried to at Paris and I think I've done it well.
"But everyone is free to draw the conclusions they want, but that's my assessment. Leaving was the logical next step.
"I'm not going to act like a hypocrite and send out a plea, like: 'Oh, I don't know.' This summer my ambition was clear, I wanted to leave and put the club in the best circumstances to bring in my replacement. Right now, my future is not my priority. I've already wasted a lot of energy this summer, it's draining."
When asked about a potential future destination, Mbappe replied: "If I had left this summer, it would have only been for Real [Madrid]."
The striker also said he considered taking a break from international football after missing the key penalty in France's Euro 2020 exit to Switzerland.
Mbappe was criticised for his performances at the tournament after failing to score a goal and also received online racist abuse after his penalty miss in the shootout.

"I have always placed the French national team above everything and I will always put it above everything," he said. "I have never taken a single Euro to play for the French national team and I will always play for my national team for free.
"Above all, I never wanted to be problem. But from the moment where I felt like that I was starting to become a problem and that people felt I was a problem ... The most important thing is the French national team, and if the French national team is happier without me, it is like that.
"I have so much love for the French national team that I abstract from it all. What shocked me, again, was being called a monkey for the penalty. That is what I wanted support around, not because I took my penalty to the left and [Yann] Sommer stopped it."

USWNT's Alex Morgan says sexual harassment a leaguewide problem in NWSL

USWNT and Orlando Pride striker Alex Morgan on Tuesday called for the National Women's Soccer League to end the systemic failure that led to a decade of alleged sexual harassment of players by some league coaches.
The North Carolina Courage last week fired coach Paul Riley amid allegations spanning over a decade of sexual coercion and inappropriate comments about players' weight and sexual orientation.

The announcement came after The Athletic published an investigation in which it talked to more than a dozen players from every team Riley has coached since 2010 -- including two named players, Mana Shim and Sinead Farrelly, who went on the record with allegations against him.
Shim and Farrelly joined Morgan on NBC's "Today" show on Tuesday to speak out about the league's failure to take action.
Morgan called on the league to be proactive in setting up policies to protect players.

"I'm here to support Mana and Sinead and to continue to amplify their voices, and just show the systemic failure from the league and how wrong they did in handling Mana's case and complaint and investigation and where they failed Mana and Sinead, and probably many other women," Morgan said.

"When I look back, I tried to be as good a friend and teammate as possible to Mana in helping her file a complaint, when at the time there was no anti-harassment policy in place, there was no league HR, there was no anonymous hotline, there was no way to report.

"We've now started to put these things in place, by demand of players, not by the league being proactive. Something we ask is for the league to start being proactive, not reactive. We're asking for transparency."

Shim called for better policies and player protection and spoke of the harassment she endured under Riley.

"He's a predator. He sexually harassed me, he sexually coerced Sinead, and he took away our careers," Shim said. "From early on, there was a possession not just from Paul but from the team that I was playing for. They silenced me for multiple issues, my sexuality being the most important one, and, yeah, I was just very, very uncomfortable the whole time.

"And every day I showed up to work, every day I practiced, every game I played, I didn't have confidence and I was scared. The only thing that got me through was my teammates."

Farrelly said that she felt going public with the allegations has already raised awareness.

"The support and the validation of this story by everyone globally has just been, has blown me away and really has felt like it has given my pain a purpose," she said. "Mana and Alex and a couple of other women we worked with, and every person who's reached out and shown support, has turned this moment into a movement and made this matter.

"They have truly amplified our voices and just made this what it should be, which is a huge deal, and demanding change."

As a result of the allegations made against Riley last week, Lisa Baird resigned from her post as NWSL commissioner and matches scheduled for this past Friday and Saturday were postponed.

On Tuesday, the National Women's Soccer League Players Association issued a statement in support of the players and confirmed that matches would continue as scheduled.

"Today, we stand with Mana, Sinead, and Kaiya [McCullough] as they continue to tell their stories. We have made the decision to proceed with Wednesday night's scheduled competition, but our demands will be forthcoming. #NoMoreSilence," the statement read.

Global players' union FIFPRO said in a statement that it was "stunned by the statements of the players regarding their treatment in the NWSL" and called for "long overdue rights" for players in the league.

"We at FIFPRO have seen some of the absolute worst case scenarios that can manifest when women's football players are disempowered," FIFPRO said. "In almost every case, the root cause goes far beyond the actions of any one individual, and therefore the remedy must do so as well."
Riley has denied the allegations.

Earlier this year, the league declined to act on an offer from Farrelly and Shim to assist in investigating further instances when Riley is said to have abused his position as manager.

In its ninth season, the NWSL has been rocked by a series of recent controversies involving team officials and on Tuesday, Washington Spirit majority owner and CEO Steve Baldwin resigned from his post.

Spirit coach Richie Burke was fired after a Washington Post report detailed verbal and emotional abuse of players. The league formally dismissed Burke and sanctioned the Spirit last week after an independent investigation.

The NWSLPA said it was creating an anonymous hotline for players to report abuse as well as making a sports psychologist available for any current, former or future player who needed a confidential consultation.

On Friday, U.S. Soccer said it would launch an independent investigation, appointing former acting Attorney General Sally Yates to lead the task.
FIFA also said its judicial bodies have opened an investigation into the matter.

Wasn't it freezing outside?

It was 1 degree at kickoff but felt like -12.

During pregame, broadcasters drenched a wet t-shirt and it froze solid in under a minute.

2 Honduran players had to be subbed off early cause they couldn’t play in the cold anymore.

Wild night.

We’re getting alotta shit for taking Honduras there and playing in the cold but I have no issues with it at all. Actually glad we finally did it.

I’ve been to CONCACAF matches in Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico and it’s damn near 103 degrees everytime. They could choose to play at night when it’s cooler, but these federations wanna play at 3pm, the hottest time of the day to exhaust US players. And it works. There ain’t enough Gatorade in the world and dudes be on oxygen tanks, cramping and dropping like flies.

I say fair play all around. Use what you got. You got blistering sunshine and we have arctic air.

Once again, a Spanish giant stunned PSG. This time Neymar and Messi were on the other end.

They're going to throw a number at Zidane that he won't be able to turn down

There are a lot of rumors that he wants to take over France which is tricky this year because of the WC timing.

In a normal year he could have waited to see how France did in the summer and then decide France/PSG...maybe even United but with the WC in the winter he might have to delay some.

CAS reject Russia's appeal over World Cup ban after Ukraine invasion

Russia's request to freeze a FIFA ban on its football teams ahead of next week's World Cup qualifying playoffs was dismissed on Friday.

FIFA said the Court of Arbitration for Sport dismissed the Russian soccer federation's bid for an urgent interim ruling to freeze the ban pending a full appeal.

The CAS decision means Russia will not be able to play Poland in World Cup qualifying on Thursday.

The ruling follows a similar CAS refusal on Tuesday to freeze UEFA's ban on Russian national and club teams in European football.

Russian athletes have been banned from competing in multiple sports because of the country's invasion of Ukraine. Belarusian athletes have also been banned because their country has been an ally of Russia.
