This was a good episode. I just want to know who is coming to the island. Everybody from "the gang" is away from the temple except for Sayid but if he's possessed then I guess he can take care of himself.

Miles is still there too.

I also still standby my original theory that the "Kwon" in question is Jin and Sun's kid. I was given further proof of this by the rerun of last week's episode. When Locke was telling Sawyer he wasn't sure which Kwon it was, and they showed the flashback of the wedding when Jacob spoke to them the little pop-up said that Jacob blessed the both of them. So you have to ask why would he bless the both of them if only one of them are needed. And then you have realize historically theres always been some special emphasis on children. Plus the mentioning of more people coming to the island.

they had a daughter. remember back in real time when Sun was about to shoot Ben, her daughter, who was with the nanny at the time, or someone else, called Sun and Sun spoker to her on the cell phone.

he didnt say more people, he said someone. 1 person. Aaron? Desmond?

I do believe that Desmond and Aaron will be coming back to the island. But as far as it only being one person. I'm not sure about that. Jacob also used "them" and "they'll" when referring to the person or people coming to the island. But I'm looking at the situation like why would they go through the whole ordeal of Sun being pregnant on the island and whether or not the father is Jin or her side piece not to capitalize on it. I do believe everything on and off the island dealing with the characters will come full circle. Even the possible reemerging of Walt. I do think everything that has happened thats been unresolved will be finished.

Ok.

Here's my three choices about who's coming to the island...

Walter: This would make perfect sense. Walter was the mysterious quotient early on in the show. And it was implied (even shown) that he has some form of power that was virtually untapped. He may be the one Smoke Monster Locke's waiting for. Locke was the ONLY one that "understood" Walter.

Aaron: At first I felt that Jacob is actually a future version of Aaron. Having second thoughts. But now with Claire the way she is, he may be coming back to save Claire.

Charles Whittmore: Desmond's billionaire father-in-law; Man's been on a mission to find this Island for the last two seasons. Though he was on the island in the 50s, how and why he left has never been explored. But his fascination has been rabid.

What about Jack's appendix?

Juliet performed an appendicitis on Jack during season 3. The scar on his neck from LA X was probably from that swift beat down he took from the Samurai on the island. THis is all speculation but maybe the writers are trying to say the different time lines have or will converge :dunno:

:confused:They showed how and why he left in season 4. Ben turned everyone against him and put his ass on the sub and said he was being exiled for "breaking the rules". Probably meaning having a child off the island(Penelope).

....show is trash really. i kept hearing cats compare LOST to The WIRE saying it was better, and me not wanting to be a 'hater' i decided to give it a chance once it was available to watch instantly on my Xbox Netflix.
- i think the lamest thing about the show is the way it drags on until the last 10 minutes just in time for a cliffhanger to lead you on to the next episode.

.....anyway, i hear the next episodes centric character will be Sayid (sp?). i wonder will they go into what Miles was hearing when he was dead. you could definitely tell Miles was hearing Sayid talk in his death.

- to the LOST lovers, forgive my opinion of your beloved show. its just that i havent watched prime time network TV in over 15 years. so these bullshit cliffhangers on each and every commercial gets on my got damned nerves. the 'LOST' story could have been told in far less time, and the way they drag it out as much as possible annoys me. especially after getting used to watching a HBO series that has NO COMMERCIALS and 60 full minutes of relevant story (instead of 30 minutes of filler).

Is it honestly fair to compare the two shows? The Wire is something people could relate to and wasn't meant to have cliffhangers. Lost is somewhat of a drama/fantasy type deal. People have their certain interests that will cause them to dislike and like shows. LOST may take a bit longer to get shit out but at least it doesn't end up in to many dead-ends like most shows on.

....is it fair? no, its not. but i decided to at least try it and not just hate on it.

- however, im not really comparing the shows but comparing the formats by which the shows are delivered. the same goes for House and a gang of other popular prime time shows people love today. the bullshit cliffhangers get on my last nerve, makes them unwatchable to me. it may just be one of those things you have to have not seen for a while to understand. but coming from a person that hasnt experienced the usual prime time antics to get you to tune in, some of the shit they do i find to be an insult to my intelligence.

- i do/will still tune in to see what exactly everything on the island is about though.

.....funny thing though. i remember the scene when Sayid came back to life and the cast kept questioning how :hmm:  that shit was extra funny to me because....im like, after everything youve been through on the island....from smoke monsters to polar bears in the jungle and seeing ghosts to TIME TRAVEL you still have doubts :smh: . its shit like that that makes me want to turn the show off altogether.

I still think they're doing some of that shit especially with bringing up Jack's kid. Where the fuck did that come from? I think when they got the series finale date they started actually writing everything to come full circle.

I had this same conversation with someone. Shits annoying as fuck how they constantly act surprised or skeptical at unreasonable shit after all this fucking time on this island. Its horrendous writing (cant blame the actors they're following the script) in my opinion.

Also agree with your previous post about the insane about of filler and frustrating overused lame cliffhanger. Just really disappointed in what this series has become.

Well in the defense of the writers they've been pretty consistent when it comes to deaths on the show. No one has died and come back so I think it is still realistic for the castaways to be shocked about Sayid coming back from the dead. I don't believe anyone has on the show. Usually when you die on the island your dead.

You also gotta remember that they've been on the island what? 40 days? I forget where its at now. Seems like a lifetime to us but they haven't been on the island that long. I guess Sawyer has since when he time traveled 3 years had passed.

He was married before he was trapped on the island and I'm pretty sure she was pregnant...

That's a big ass kid though. No time has passed right? If she was pregnant before he got on the island she should still be pregnant or the kid should atleast be a baby. 13 or 14 years definately haven't passed. That's what i'm not getting. Did the past alter as well when they didn't go on the island? They better explain this shit in the near future and I mean NEAR.

Bro; time travel, smoke monsters, ghosts/spirits, polar bears on tropical islands, paraplegics walking, a guy who speaks to dead people, an island literally moving, being on a plane one minute and miraculously vanishing and reappearing in water,....

Oh, and you must have forgot about Jack's dead dad on the island.

Come on man. Them being shocked to see a guy wake up from the dead at this point is fucking absurd.

I was under the impression Jack's dad wasn't real sort of like how Hurley can only see Jacob. There's been a lot of shit on the island no doubt but there's never been anyone die on the island and come back alive. All that shit you said above is some crazy shit no doubt but none of it is a dead person coming back alive. How many people have died on that island? As far as main characters go i'll say about 10. Not one of them has come back alive. The fact that they'd be shocked to see Sayid come back alive seems legit. Now if he came back as a smoke monster and they were shocked? I'd say it would be a ridiculous reaction.

Of course it changed their past. Its the whole butterfly effect. Everyone's timeline and personal encounters have changed. The only thing that seems to be constant is Oceanic 815. Now everyone wasn't on the plane but we see some how they're still fated to cross one anothers path. And I'm telling you Jack's baby momma is Juliet's sister. The connection will probably be that Jack and Juliet worked together and that she introduced Jack to her sister. Who if you remember had cancer and couldn't have kids. I see them doing that so it be a complete 180 of the original timeline.

I was watching a LOST rerun from season 5 last night and I realized something. Something I hadn't even thought about. And its causing me to think there won't be any replacements for Jacob or Flocke. And also I've been contemplating the identity of Flocke...How do we necessarily know that Flocke is the man in black? If you watch the season 5 finale the MIB showed up at Jacob's chill spot, Like he knew he was there, like he knows him. In the very same episode Flocke had to get Richard to show him where Jacob was...Now granted there was the whole "You found your loop hole" quote by Jacob but what other proof do we really have? Jacob could've been saying that the particular person he was talking to found their specific loophole. Another reason I doubt Flocke's validity as the MIB is the whole balance of power. The ying and the yang. We know Jacob is free to leave the island whenever he wants or at least has the ability to project his image anywhere he wants. But Flocke doesn't seem to have this power?...Referring back to last years finale, the MIB said to Jacob "Your still trying to prove me wrong" and Jacob's reply was "You are wrong". What would Jacob have to prove to a man whose being forcefully trapped on the island assumingly by him. Another thing is if Jacob and Flocke were on an even playing field you would think they would be well aware of one anothers abilities. What would be the point of killing Jacob if he still has the ability to do the Obi-Wan thing? Also one would assume they'd both have the same powers, not to give either an advantage over thee other. And with Jacob is so high and mighty why would he still be bringing more people to help him fight little ole Flocke who has a gargantuan following of only two people?...Couple all this with the kid in the jungle saying "You know the rules...You can't kill him". You can't honestly still think hes the MIB. I have a feeling that Flocke is playing the Richard role in this situation. Hes aligned himself with the MIB in an attempt to be freed from the island as an end result. Im really starting to think Flocke may be that Hanso guy, captain of the Black Rock. I think his statements to Richard about "the chains" and to Sawyer "a little after my time" were dead giveaways. Something else I've been thinking about is the whole "Sideways" visions. I don't think they were a result of the bomb going off. I think its reality. I think its showing what the result will be of the series finale. Something else from last season, MIB said "It always ends the same" with Jacob's reply of "It only ends once, everything before that is progress." That statement alone signifies that Jacob has been on the losing side of the battle for a long time. This leads me to believe that whatever happens at the end of this season will result in the Island being underwater which would change the past and the current timeline.
