It's funny how Daisey Johnson look was based on Angelina Jolie's Hacker character.

They then turned her into "Skye the Hacker" and an Asian American Inhuman on TV and the comics.

Agents of SHIELD Star Says Marvel Doesn't Care Enough About Its Own TV Show

The unspoken secret that Marvel’s TV and movie ventures aren’t as interconnected as the company would like you to think they are has become a lot less unspoken lately. And the loudest acknowledgement about this separation has come courtesy of Agents of SHIELD’s Daisy Johnson herself, Chloe Bennet.

Joss Whedon Explains How the Marvel Cinematic Universe Is More Separate Than You Think

Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter, Daredevil, and Jessica Jones have all proven themselves as worthy…Read more

Speaking at Wizard World Des Moines this weekend during a Q&A session, Bennet tackled the topic of why Avengers like Natasha Romanoff or Steve Rogers aren’t showing up as part of the show’s escalating conflict with Hive and his army of brainwashed Inhumans:

I don’t know. People who make movies for Marvel, why don’t you acknowledge what happens on our show? Why don’t you guys go ask them that? Cause they don’t seem to care!

Which would be harsh words enough, but then Bennet came out with it flatly when asked by a fan if she’d like to appear in the Marvel movieverse—she’d love to, but when it comes to the movies, Daisy Johnson might as well not exist:

The Marvel Cinematic Universe loves to pretend that everything is connected, but then they don’t acknowledge our show at all. So, I would love to do that, but they don’t seem to keen on that idea.

It’s been obvious for a long while that, despite Marvel’s claims to the contrary, the world of their TV series and the world shown in theaters might as well be separate universes. Although SHIELD in particular started out very rooted in those movies, over the years it’s been little more than a one-way street. The events of the films get forced into the show, with nothing from the series making its way to the silver screen—even when it would make a ton of sense to do so.

Captain America Civil War Has a Huge Problem and Agents of SHIELD Has the Answer [UPDATED]
We’re less than two months away from getting to see the new Captain America movie which is another…Read more

But Bennet’s comments are certainly some of the most brazen acknowledgement of that we’ve seen so far. Given that SHIELD now standsas Marvel’s sole network television venture, it seems like the barriers between the show and the Cinematic Universe are probably only going to get bigger (or at least stronger, if Kevin Feige’s comments to us recently are anything to go by) as the movie’s focus turns elsewhere. What happens on television, stays on television.

Why The Marvel Movies May Never Cross Over With Their TV Shows
If you’ve only been watching the movie portion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you’ve been…

I liked it. Loved it actually. Glad they brought this story line around....it got shaky for a while in the middle. I would love to see the tv shit crossover with the movies but I think the reason it isnt has more to do with the changing of the creative helm from Joss Wheedon to the Russo Brothers. AoS is Wheedon's show.

I think Jed Whedon and his wife is in charge of the show, but I also think Joss gives them what direction to go into with the show :dunno:

Like you said,I hope the movie and TV shows cross paths somehow. It doesn't have to be all the time though

you right but the Wheadon tree incorporates all of them writers directors production actors...

that is why I think he might be good to take over Marvel TV

and I think the crossovers are the KEY to what makes all these things work...

and I HOPE Marvel saw the manifestation of that in the success of Civil War.

Starting this fall, the show will air Tuesday nights at 10pm, an hour later than usual. ABC executives describe the moves as allowing the show to go darker and more violent with its content, the Tuesday 10:00 pm timeslot has been what the Hollywood Reporter calls “long-troubled” and “a cancellation target for the last several seasons.”

I was hoping after seeing Nick Fury and Sif(doesn't really count, but you get the idea),I thought the show would have more characters from the movies on the show and vice versa

This is the type of stuff that gets a show cancel.

I think Marvel didn't expect the show to get this popular, especially after the way it started.....I seems like Marvel cares about it's Netflix shows than Agents of Shield. :dunno:

wow...so DC DOES do something way better than Marvel.

DC has dominated TV and direct to DVD for years now.

I am actually shocked Marvel is going this route...(maybe the beef between Feige and his old boss might be the cause? Or the new president of ABC TV?)

ABC's New President Channing Dungey Is The First Black Person To Lead A Major Network

unless in the VERY near future Marvel/Disney will have their OWN 'superhero' streaming service or cable network....

which I have been calling for...

because I hope they realize that the early Marvel films GREATLY benefited from Agent Carter and SHIELD on TV.

I will admit that the ending where Lincoln and Hive just floated there looking at the Earth and talked was a beautiful scene that you don't see enough in TV shows.

Again... If this is the last I hope Netflix saves it. I know they can't do everything and this would be a pretty large budget.... but it's a good show. 9 may actually be the best timeslot for it.... come to think of it. It will have zero competition with other genre shows... Flash, iZombie, and then Agents... That will work.
