I praised my students in class the other day. Granted, many just turned 18 and 19 and wasn’t sure how politics worked when voting, so I dedicated my entire math class talking about the election.

We even discussed the mathematics behind voting and gerrymandering and the importance of understanding political issues.

We also discussed how society intentionally distracts people so they stay unaware of what is going on behind the scenes. When I brought up that Trump was the direct effect of why Roe v Wade was overturned, they listened.

I said “don’t be sitting here asking yourself how did this happen all of a sudden. I’m going to ask you where was you because this been brewing for years.”

This Fuckin’ state of Nevada has pissed me off.

These idiots went and vote for Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo (R) instead of re-electing Gov. Steve Sisolak (D).

Sisolak got flack cuz of how he handled the Covid shutdown. He kept the Resort industry shutdown for most of 2020 while the rest of these GOP controlled states were fully opening allowing that virus to spread like wildfire.

Once the vaccine was out, the Resort industry was able to start fully opening in 2021 and revenue basically returned to pre-pandemic levels by the end of 2021.

He did his best trying to keep shit under control, but these ignorant cry babies were more concerned about their stupid jobs in these resorts. Even if he had fully opened everything back in 2020, it wasn’t like money was gonna flow in being majority of the country was broke and unemployed and living on stimulus money at the time.

Senator Catherine Cortez-Masto (D) kept her seat. Mail-in voting is what saved her. Both our Senators in Nevada are Democrats.

Nevada has 4 House seats and Democrats managed to secure 3 of them even after redestricting. Rep. Dina Titus (D) managed to maintain her seat cuz she was affected by the redistricting.

State Senate is still controlled by the GOP, mainly due to how the state is divided. Washoe County (Reno, Sparks, Carson City) is Democratic controlled along with Clark County (Las Vegas area) the rest of the state is ignorant MAGA country.

Joe Lombardo will have difficulty governing being the Legislature is split. The state Secretary of State is a Democrat defeating that Trump backed idiot.

And the Nevada Attorney General is a Democrat defeating a Trump idiot. Being Lombardo is a Trump backed winner and his career has been in law enforcement , he will definitely have some issues working with the AG.

Also, the Nevada Legislature only meets every two years for 6 months. It’s not a full time job like those Ass clowns in Washington DC.

Former Governor Sandoval (R) was in the same predicament and he was forced to work with Democrats, which set it up for Sisolak to beat his Ass.

We will wait and see.

I think you have a crush on him:)

I have a possible crush on his mind and confidence. We'll see if it can withstand the light of day when I watch him on Jonathan Capehart's show next week. Either the crush grows or just remains at respect. I havent listened to the podcast, i just posted that because others here seemed interested, too.

I just love to see smart black people, especially men, getting respect and their time in the spotlight. Too many people want to promote the Hershel Walkers of the world, when we have so many sharp folks out there.

That's another great thing about Twitter, you can discover so many talented people, especially black folks and other POC. There were folks in his mentions promising to make a contribution to his company if he is right about the house. MSNBC can bring him to a larger audience, tho he has said he wants to keep this as a hobby and doesn't want to do predictions professionally. You should be posting the content and weather models you do for us on there.

I understand completely.

I like seeing brothers and sisters come up as well. And your point about Hershel Walker being spot lighted while others aren’t is absolutely right.

We are very talented, but yet this is who they choose to put out there.
