Man this makes sense for Htown....CP3 don’t break down, they go to finals....

They have issues between the two guards even tho they was dynamite.

You heard the most electrifying guard is available, so u call and see what can happen...

BOOM we accept your offer

ya the trade isn’t as ‘ugly’ as it sounds from the rockets’ standpoint

2 small changes....russ drive to the goal instead of settling for a jumper and james not holding the ball for 20 seconds and they can be unstoppable. the league is wide the fuck open next year. god i can't believe okc has gotten this bad this quick.

Their ticket office sales team has to be on suicide watch. In their existence they’ve NEVER not had at least one superstar; they’ve lost four since 2016.

I need to see ink dry on the contract because this trade makes zero senses.
CP3 is in win now and that ain't happening in OKC.
And as for Russ and Harden back on the same team, I'll say the same thing when they tried the Melo experiment. "Who's going to have the ball? They do know that they're only allowed to have one ball on the court at a time."

Harden was the 6th man closing out games with Russ & KD back in OKC. They have a history of playing with each other and knowing each others skills.

I'm not saying this is gonna be a match made in heaven by no means but I don't think it'll be a disaster like it was with Melo.

This trade doesn't put them in the same bracket with the Clippers or Lakers but old & injury prone CP3 was not going to make the Rockets a contender. I'd take the lesser of two evils as a Rockets fan & take a younger Russ.

I bet you he ends up in a Lakers jersey someway
Not that I don't want to see that, but how can they effort him? The Lakers would have to give up a lot to land that trade. That starting lineup would be sick though.

Both Harden and Russ have changed a lot since them 6th man days.

I'm not mad at the Rockets though. I want this to work out just so we can have some competitive games in the west again. This is the first time in damn near half a decade that we legit don't know who will even be in the West Conf. Finals. We've been living in a world of who can try to win a game or two off the Warriors for so long. Barring no injuries, the West is going to be bananas next year.

Negro they were HEALTHY THIS YEAR
how you gonna go back to a year ago talking about what could have been when the scenario you talking about preventing them from going to the finals DIDN'T HAPPEN THIS YEAR and they lost?
Like you really said if he didn't break down they go
this year he didn't break down and durant was out and they didn't go lol

Yeah ppl kill with that argument like the Rockets team that played this year was the same one that played the year before will CP3 got hurt. Among many things, they lost Trevor Ariza. This year's Rocket team wouldn't stand a chance with that earlier Rockets lineup. Let alone the Dubs with or without Durant.

I love how the technicalities always come out only in certain scenarios and only when propping up something that people (not you) was hoping would happen but didn't

We can agree the team was different but so was the warriors and without the main ingredient everyone crutched on to discredit everyone else

If Paul George is a superstar, Sully Sullenberger is a superhero.
PG13 is cool wit me but do people really think he's even close to being as good as Anthony Davis?

Like if AD was in the FA pool would people really have Paul George ahead of him?

Shit wasn't he like Kawhi's 3rd choice?

Yeah, that was my point-- You can't just call every very good player a superstar. Putting PG in the same category as LeBron, AD, Kawhi, Steph, KD or even Harden or Russell is like using the same term to describe both Sully Sullenberger and Batman.

Not entirely
Just the ones who are thirsty to try and say they know shit when they don't
Chris Haynes was 100% the entire time and broke the story FIRST
before Woj

Thirst works...

Honestly, I was so swept up in the negativity that I knew who didn't break the story but couldn't tell you who did.

That's my bad but it's also how our culture is (more focused on blame/destroying than crediting/building) and, most importantly to my point, because the loudest voices are the most discussed.

I'm not sure how important first is in this situation, though, since breaking it probably came down to tweet speed since Haynes only beat Woj by between 1 and 119 seconds. (Haynes broke it, bottom line, but I think we can safely say multiple sources had the same info at the same time.)

It's funny to me seeing these 10:53 and 10:54 PT timestamps when I made a post early this morning mocking Chris Broussard's claim that his sources were great and he could have correctly reported the Kawhi story first but he was asleep. In his defense of his sources, he says with total precision that they hit him up with the info at 10:57...

But if woj is gonna make a living as the guy who breaks everything first
So can Chris Haynes
Cause if woj had broken it the seconds Haynes was second wouldn't even be discussed right?

Originally, I had a whole different post typed out thinking Woj tweeted it around 11:15 (since that's when Broussard said the story broke).

I was being very critical of ESPN and Broussard for erasing Haynes from the story, saying that if Woj had broken the story ESPN would have branded the fact in our brains. I was definitely of the mindset that Haynes deserved credit for being first.

But then I saw the 10:53 and 10:54 timestamps. And it became much less important to me because we're not talking about who had better sources and got the story first, we're talking about who composed a tweet and hit send fastest. Neither of these guys are Woodward or Bernstein. I'm sure if they had both gone to sleep like Broussard, that story was coming out by 11pm regardless. And I can't fault ESPN for not constantly shouting out Haynes if they had the exact same information at the exact same time.

Haynes is a negro....NBA or basketball isn't even my sport like that but I peep how Chris Haynes has been consistently reliable....Yahoo sports? Broski is underexposed and under paid.
