Originally, I had a whole different post typed out thinking Woj tweeted it around 11:15 (since that's when Broussard said the story broke).

I was being very critical of ESPN and Broussard for erasing Haynes from the story, saying that if Woj had broken the story ESPN would have branded the fact in our brains. I was definitely of the mindset that Haynes deserved credit for being first.

But then I saw the 10:53 and 10:54 timestamps. And it became much less important to me because we're not talking about who had better sources and got the story first, we're talking about who composed a tweet and hit send fastest. Neither of these guys are Woodward or Bernstein. I'm sure if they had both gone to sleep like Broussard, that story was coming out by 11pm regardless. And I can't fault ESPN for not constantly shouting out Haynes if they had the exact same information at the exact same time.

But again
If woj had it first all this minute stuff wouldn't even be typed out

Chris said he had it but he went to sleep

That means he wasn't on his job like the ppl who are on they job Right? Lol

Negro they were HEALTHY THIS YEAR
how you gonna go back to a year ago talking about what could have been when the scenario you talking about preventing them from going to the finals DIDN'T HAPPEN THIS YEAR and they lost?
Like you really said if he didn't break down they go
this year he didn't break down and durant was out and they didn't go lol

Negro that ninja broke down now...

Man you know it’s two totally different situations even tho the teams are constants.

PG13 is cool wit me but do people really think he's even close to being as good as Anthony Davis?

Like if AD was in the FA pool would people really have Paul George ahead of him?

Shit wasn't he like Kawhi's 3rd choice?
Completely agree.

AD and Bron are a better duo than Kawaii and George.

Real talk?

Chris shouldn't even mention that shit. A reporter that had the opportunity to break the biggest story of free agency and he's asleep.

For real.

Injuries are part of the game for sure but I've never seen quite that many in a series.
Truth be told, GSW whole run has been at the expense of other teams injuries.

Doesn't diminish them either way.
Truth be told, any dynasty or dynastic team has had the benefit of avoiding injuries and/or playing teams that had injuries....

They have issues between the two guards even tho they was dynamite.

I listened to Bill Simmons most recent podcast, on this trade. He used that "the Rockets were one CP3 injury away from beating the Warriors" line. I can't believe people are still using that line after the Rockets lost with CP3 healthy AND the Warriors did it without KD.

Even if you believed it at the time, to continue saying it a year later after they lose with a healthy CP3... And to present it as a GIVEN rather than a possibility... It totally defies logic. Probably the most irritating sports argument of the year for me.

I'm just curious

Why is CP3 so disliked?

Napoleon complex

Perkins said he always hears him criticizing players and never complimenting them. Ryan Hollins who played with Chris agreed.

Yeah, when it was proven a lot of Golden State was disinterest

Man that wasn’t the same team and them dubs has took them htown ninjas heart

But still... When KD went down, almost everyone said "Rockets in seven-- Even with home court, the Warriors can't win another game." I don't recall any commentators saying Warriors in 6.

As they say, that's why we play the games.

So to continue to say "The Rockets would have won if CP3 hadn't gotten hurt" is just absolute nonsense. Hell, they might have lost worse with him. It's just speculation. All we know if that when those two teams played, Golden State always came out ahead, regardless of injury on either side or press predictions.

You speaking Truth

GSW can adjust. Houston plays the same way every time.

people who use it only are trying to discredit GS; its one of the dumbest statements ever...

No doubt

Kobe could have 6 rings if not for a Bynum injury
and Boston could have won if Perkins didnt get hurt; and Kobe could have had less than that if the refs didnt blatantly cheat the Kings; so there never really a reason to bring up injuries or any other type of luck factors; it happens on both sides of the ball....

Thunder Already Working To Redirect Chris Paul To New Team
JUL 12, 2019 12:39 PM

Paul_Chris_hou_171019.jpg

The Oklahoma City Thunder are already working with Chris Paul's agents to redirect him to a new team, sources tell ESPN.

Leon Rose and Steven Heumann represent Paul.

While the Miami Heat have been prominent in the conversations, there are other possibilities being explored for Paul.

Sam Presti worked with Rose last year on a similar situation involving Carmelo Anthony.

It must be nice to get paid just to break "news" but I'd have to fight Woj ass if I was in that business. Mufucka don't sleep waiting for that first break.

Right. AND the Warriors lost KD and Rockets still couldn't beat them. That argument is dead. That's what rematches are for. They had their rematch and didn't prove anything. No knock on Houston but it is what it is.

If they really wanna move on from that choke job they need to get a new head coach.

I would say I've never seen mediocrity rewarded and loved so much but I have. I just wish if they were going to keep doing that, the Coach would be black. Like a Marvin Lewis of NBA type of thing. Then I wouldn't care what they do lol.
