I need to see ink dry on the contract because this trade makes zero senses.
CP3 is in win now and that ain't happening in OKC.
And as for Russ and Harden back on the same team, I'll say the same thing when they tried the Melo experiment. "Who's going to have the ball? They do know that they're only allowed to have one ball on the court at a time."

Man this makes sense for Htown....CP3 don’t break down, they go to finals....

They have issues between the two guards even tho they was dynamite.

You heard the most electrifying guard is available, so u call and see what can happen...

BOOM we accept your offer

Both are ball dominant but dominant in different ways. Melo completely slows the game up with his high post ISO style. With the Rockets pace, they might be able to make it work at times because Westbrook can push the pace and they'll get the extra possessions they need to get both westbrook and harden enough shots

Man. I don't think he ever plays a game for OKC... i dont know how they'll work it out because his contract is so massive, but he'll get bought out. How would the stretch provision work in this scenario.. anyone know?
I believe they can negotiate a buyout then stretch it.. Stretch provision allows them to spread the cap hit over twice the years that are left on the deal.

This is true for the first 45 minutes of the game. But in a close game when you get to those last 3 minutes both of these guys are top guys 'I want the last shot' kinda dudes. We did see Westbrook fall break a little last season when PG turned into MVPG, so hopefully this can work.
All I know is that the west is going to be cut throat next season. Old reliable teams like the Spurs might not even make the playoffs. They barely made it in last year.
The league is wide open in a way we haven't seen in a minute and I can't wait :pain:

CP3 was player president, he worked for that super max deal. He's not giving up that much.
I've been wondering about that. Can he even take less money? Since he's the president of the player's association, it wouldn't be in his best interests or the best interests of the association to take any kind of decrease.

I think it will work better than it did with CP3...and it's because of Houston's preferred style of uptempo ball that they prefer to play... Houston really doesn't want to run the type of offense that CP3 is best suited to run anyway.... now I'm not ignoring the problem of westbrook and harden clashing..i'm just saying they'll just shoot for more possession with a faster pace

2 small changes....russ drive to the goal instead of settling for a jumper and james not holding the ball for 20 seconds and they can be unstoppable. the league is wide the fuck open next year. god i can't believe okc has gotten this bad this quick.
