OFFICIAL UFC 241 thread - Cormier vs. Miocic 2 - August 17th, 2019 - Anaheim, CA

DC fought a good fight but he stopped mixing his wrestling and boxing up and started straight boxing and left himself open. He was hurting Stipe with the boxing when he was mixing it up, but he stopped and became one dimensional. That's the only way to beat Stipe you have to have both wrestling and boxing and no one in the heavyweight division has at a level like DC had. No one in the heavyweight division will beat Stipe.

Yep. DC got a little cocky in there while Stipe made the adjustment.
Them body shots :eek2:

D.C. was too uncomfortable being a two weight world champ and ending his career on a high note..It wouldn't be him, if he didn't go out
doing something dumb and taking a loss. His career has been stained by them..why stop now
Damn bruh why you hurting my soul with that truth ? Too soon bro. Too soon.

Yup that's what did him in..why did he choose to go toe to toe with a guy he clearly could have just out wrestled
Cuz he won three rounds doing so, he says. It was feeling good to him lol. There's a reason they could do a third fight cuz he has reasons to believe he can win. Up to him though.

Is it just me or was Cormier extra out of shape for this fight?
He was in better shape for this fight than the first one. He was 10lbs lighter in this fight. I really feel like DC was losing the weight slowly to get back down in range of LHW to fight Jones later this year. Might not work out that way now.

DC just got super cocky and overconfident and Stipe's chin was tremendous in this fight.
